Clean and Simple Meets the Featured Stamper and the DDC Challenge!!

You may be wondering why I have two cards here. Well, to make a long story short....I have a real hard time with CAS cards!!! I made the card on the right first...kept adding and adding layers and other stuff until it didn't qualify for a CAS.

Not to be foiled, I started over and kept the layers to a minimum. Whoohoo...I think it did it!!! Who said that making CAS cards was easy?????

This is also for Sunday's Featured Stamper challenge to honor Sandra {B-gin-r}. She has such a fabulous gallery...check it out!! I cased her Fried Chicken Anyone card...kept the same layout but changed the colors, papers, and used Clear Dollar Stamp's Tangy Trio stamps.

I also made this for last weeks DDC challenge hosted by me to make a card using your favorite colors. I love fall colors so I used green, red, and shades of yellow. Please join the DDC challenge...be sure to add DDC to the keywords section of your upload so we can find your card. Check out the DDC Gallery for lots of inspiration!!

Recipe:

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Rich Cocoa, Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, Apricot Appeal, More Mustard

Thanks for visiting today....have a great Monday!!!

Yummy looking cards Joan! Love both of them, but I too, am a little challenged with CAS cards.
I really love the scalloped polka dots under the stripes and the sentiments with the fruit!
Welcome back, you brought cooler temps back;)

Really cute cards, Joan. I'm with you on the CAS simple, but I keep trying it too! I have to admit I like your first card best - the striped paper, scalloped border and text on the individual images really make a big difference.

Glad you had a great vacation!
