Rubbernecker Blogger Challenge #12, Belli Challenge #44, and Double Dog Dare Challenge

Good morning everyone!! I have a triple challenge card for you today!!
Today's Rubbernecker Bloggers Challenge is hosted by Bev Gerard and her challenge to us is to "Nix the Ribbon". We can use fibers of any type on our projects except ribbon! A few ideas are: hemp, yarn, cord, embroidery floss, thread, elastic cord, etc. I decided to use hemp. So... get out your fibers and play along!! Upload your creations to you blog and/or online gallery and then post a link in the comment section on the Rubbernecker blog for all of us to see!! Use the Keywords RNBC12 when uploading to Splitcoast.
Our Design Team, as always, will delight you with their creations. Be sure to visit their blogs to see all their "nixed ribbon" projects!!

This card is also for the Belli Challenge #44 to use cracked glass. The Belli Challenge was created by Chris (Chrissyd723) to inspire us to use the *stuff* lying around our stamping spaces...those long forgotten goodies that we once had to have!! Anyone can play, so get out your scraps, stamps, and embellies!! Check out Chris' blog for details on how to win the challenge!!

Be sure to visit the Belli Design Team Member's blogs to see the cards they designed using cracked glass!! You will find lots of awesome ideas!! Remember to check out Chris' blog to see how you can win!!

This is also for the Double Dog Dare Challenge I do each week with a group of SCS friends. This week Anne (Itsapassion) challenged us to make a card using these awesome Ugg boots as inspiration. I took my inspiration from the colors, flowers, and stitching. We were also to use a shade of brown as the under layer. I used Really Rust which is sorta in the brown family....hope the challenge police don't come after me!!! You can see the other DDC creations here.

The Stamp Oasis image called Winter Trek and the Stamp Oasis sentiment were stamped with Black Stazon and sponged with Baja Breeze, Pumpkin Pie, Creamy Caramel, and So Saffron. Both were covered with Versamark and embossed with clear UTEE. While the images were still warm, I put them in the freezer for a while. When I took them out, I bent the papers to crack the surfaces. I then rubbed them both with Pine Needles and Scattered Straw Ranger Distress inks to fill the cracks.

Sewing was done around the edge of the background layer. All the layer edges were then distressed and Martha Stewart punched ferns, ribbon, and Primas finish it off.

Thanks for coming by ....hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Joan, this is absolutely gorgeous! I've been MIA working on Sharon's Stamp Simply Celebration and haven't had a chance to comment on blogs. As soon as I return from Chicago, I'm going through all my 100's of e-mails and checking out all the fabulous designs from everyone. {{{{hugs}}}}
