Taylored Expressions April Sneak Peeks: Welcome Little One and Baby Treat Toppers


Hello everyone and welcome to  day one of the 
Taylored Expressions April Sneak Peeks!!!!
We are so excited for you to see all the fabulous stamps, dies, papers, sequins, and embossing folders but first:

My first card features the adorable Welcome Little One die...I made a shaker card with it using Strawberry Milkshake cardstock, Double the Joy Sequins  and the Double the Joy 6x6 paper pack onesie paper in the background. 


The Little Bits - Buggy was cut out of Potato Chip cardstock and adhered with the twine...sewing along the background edge is the finishing touch. 



I loved the Welcome Little One die so much that I had to make another card...this time a boy card. The cardbase is acetate so you can see into the inside...how fun is that!!!


Peapod and Sugar Cube cardstock were used on the front and the sweet little bird mom and baby image is from the Mama and Me stamp set.



The image was colored with Copics and the *grass* was created with one of the previously released Skinny Mini Borders 2 dies. The sentiment is from the same set and the background papers are from the Double the Joy 6x6 paper pack. Sewing and twine finish it off. 



My last project is a baby card set featuring the cute Baby Treat Toppers. The card bases were all cut out with the previously released Scalloped Notecard die, Double the Joy 6x6 paper pack papers were used in the background and the colored cardstock layers were all embossed with the new Cable Knit Embossing Folder. 
A little sewing was done on all the Baby Treat Toppers and the sentiment is from the Little Bits of Baby Stamp Set.

TLC528 Cluster Stamping


Hello everyone!! It's my turn to host the Technique Lover's Challenge on Splitcoast....I have a fun one for you this week called cluster stamping!!

 Here are the deets:

 1. Select a shape from your dies or punches (circle, square, butterfly, heart, star, diamond, etc).....at least 2 inches in diameter. 
2. Create your stencil by cutting a thin piece of paper or a post it note with your die or punch and place over your cardbase. 
3. Select several different small stamps or just one...what ever fits your design.
4. Stamp on the cardbase through the stencil to create your cluster. You can use lots of different colors or colors in the same family. 
5. Remove stencil and finish your card. 


My card features several small flower and leaf stamps from two WPlus9 sets: Fresh Cut containers and Fresh Cut Flowers. I used lots of different inks to create my cluster and added the happy diecut from Memory Box. ...the stamped birthday sentiment is from Reverse Confetti's Beautiful Banners set.

Color Throwdown Challenge #336



Hello everyone!! It's a warm, sunny Wednesday morning here in Central Texas...the Bluebonnets are blooming along with Iris, Daffodils and Redbud trees  so we are bursting with color!! The Color Throwdown is also bursting with color with Wanda's gorgeous color pallette...I just love the warm hues!!! It's also a new month so we have to say good by to our awesome March Guest Designer, Holly Brown (who just happens to be my sweet baby girl..well, maybe not that young but she will always be my baby!!) and say hello to our April Guest Designer, the super talented Karen Giron.

My card features Taylored Expressions Bloom Where You're Planted die set and I used several pieces of TE cardstock: Pumpkin, Candy Corn, Peapod, and Lemon Meringue for the flowers, leaves, butterflies, pot, shelf and 



the sentiment is from the TE stamp set called Shine Bright. A little sewing and distressing finish it off.
