Taylored Expressions February Sneak Peeks: Stained Glass Cutting Plate and Beauty Lies Within

Hello everyone!! Are you as excited about this awesome release as I am?? I just love all the new Taylored Expressions Easter goodies!...they really put me in the mood for Spring!!!!
We have lots more to show you today so sit back, have a cuppa something and enjoy the show!!!! But first, remember.....

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.

The new TE Stained Glass Cross Cutting Plate was used for my first card, today. I absolutely love this cutting plate...it really makes a statement!! I cut several Taylored Expressions cardstock: Sugar Cube, Plum Punch, Lollipop, Peapod, Sprinkles, and Potato Chip. The Sugar Cube diecut was adhered to a piece of  cardstock and then the different colored cardstock pieces were glued into the negative space around the cross. Another Sugar Cube diecut was cut... the cross was cutout and popped up on the first cross.

Glitter was added to the top cross and the gem was glued in place. The vellum was cut into a banner shape and the sentiment from the previously released  He Is Risen stamp set was stamped with Memento Sweet Plum...it was adhered over the cross. I think the next time I make one of these, I will add Glossy Accents to the stained glass papers...it will take a little time but I bet it would look great!! Adding foil paper or colored acetate would look awesome, too...sooo many possibilities!!!

My next card is a very CAS design featuring one of the new TE Beauty Lies Within 2 dies. The diecut was adhered to the Salt Water Taffy cardbase inside the negative of the Sugar Cube top layer that was popped up with foam tape.

The sentiment from the Calla Lily Bouquet stamp set was stamped with Versamark and embossed with white ep just above the larger bottom top layer. A strip of Sugar Cube cardstock was adhered above the sentiment with foam tape so the sentiment is in the *valley* between the two top layers. The For Peeps Sake Sequins complete the design.

Thanks for stopping by today....If you would like to see more product information, please head over to the TE Blog for a complete blog roll of our participating designers.  Be sure to come back tomorrow for day three of the Taylored Expressions February Sneak Peeks!! The February release is Thursday, February 5th at 7:00 AM PST (9:00 CST)

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.

My first card features the adorable Somebunny Loves You set...isn't that little chick dressed up like a bunny super cute!!! She was colored with Copics, cutout with the Somebunny Loves You coordinating die and popped up on the previously released Tag Stacklets 2 diecuts. The flower from the new Tag-a-Long-Easter set was also colored with copics, fussy cut, and popped up on the sentiment banner.

The sentiment is from the Somebunny Loves You set and the patterned paper banners were cut from the new TE For Peeps Sake 6x6 paper pack. The Peapod cardstock layer was embossed with the new TE Leafy Vine Embossing Folder and the Strawberry Milkshake cardstock  background  was embossed with the new TE Dotted Lattice Embossing Folder. For Peeps Sake Sequins were added around the *bunny* and the sewing, ribbon and cording finish it off.

My second card features the new Floral Lattice Cutting Plate...it was cut out of Sugar Cube cardstock and adhered to the Toffee background layer....Sprinkles cardstock was used for the card base.  The little Easter scene was created with the new Hippity Hop bunny dies...pom poms were added for the bunny tails and the eggs were cut with the Little Bits - Easter Confetti die.

The clouds were cut with the previously released Build- a- Scene - Rolling Clouds die and the previously released Build- a- Scene - Rolling Hills die was used to cut the grass from a piece of dp from the  For Peeps Sake 6c6 paper pack.  The sentiment is from the Somebunny Loves You set and the twine is the final detail.

TLC519 The Sentiment Down Under!

Hello everyone!! It's Sunday night and all is well....the Patriots  won the Super Bowl and you are either glad or mad. Since my team wasn't playing, I really didn't care who won. I'm sure there are lots of parties going on but for me...I would rather be stamping. How about you?? It's my turn to host the Splitcoast Technique Lover's Challenge and I have a super fun one for you....it's called * The Sentiment Down Under*.  Here are the deets:

1. Select a cardbase and a different colored paper for the top layer (either cardstock or patterned paper).
2. Figure out where you want your sentiment on the card base (that's the down under part) and stamp it with ink of your choice.
3. Stamp or decorate your top layer keeping in mind you will be cutting this piece in two pieces.
4. Cut your top layer in half at the point where you stamped your sentiment on the card base. You can use  a straight line or curved line...what ever works for your design.
5. Lay your top layers above and below the sentiment to judge how much to trim off the top of the top piece and the botton of the bottom piece. You want them to fit on the cardbase and still have an inch or so opening for the sentiment to show.
6. Adhere the top pieces with foam tape or foam dots so the sentiment is in the *valley*

My card features the tiny rose stamp  from WPlus9's Fresh Cut Containers, the leaves from the Spring Blooms set, and the sentiment from Fanciful Feathers.  The top peice of white cardstock was cut in a curve so I curved the sentiment on the block before stamping it on the Pistachio Pudding card stock.  Pistachio Pudding ink was used for the leaves and Memento LuLu Lavender was used for the roses.

Thanks for stopping by this evening....I hope you will be abls to join us for this weeks TLC challenge on Splitcoast!!!
