Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks: Little Bits Picnic Basket and In Other Words - Travel

Hello everyone!!! Welcome to Day Two of the Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks!!! Didn't you just love all the wonderful stamp sets and dies you saw yesterday!!! We have more awesome goodies to show you today.....and remember....the August release goes live Thursday, August 7 at 7:00 AM PST!!

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.

My first project features three of the new Taylored Expressions  dies....the Little Bits Picnic Basket, the Little Bits Ants, and the new Apple Stacklets. .

The picnic basket was cut out of Choice Kraft card stock with the TE Little Bits Picnic Basket die and brown ink was sponged around the edges. A piece of gingham dp was added to look like a napkin and the apples were cut with the smallest Apple Stacklets die. The black ants were created with the Little Bits Ant die and the Taylored Expressions previously released Grass Border was used for the grass. The clouds were created with the previously released TE Cloud Duo dies and the sun was punched with a circle punch.  The sentiment is from the new Taylored Expressions Talk Nerdy To Me stamp set and the twine and sewing are the finishing touchs.

My second project is a travel gift set for a friend who will be traveling to Paris this month. Stamps from the new Taylored Expressions In Other Words - Travel stamp set were used along with stamps from the new TE Every Wich Way stamp set and the new TE Mini Caps Alpha Dies.

The suitcase image from the In Other words - Travel set was stamped on the Paper Journal dp which was also used for the background. The image was colored with Copics, cutout, and popped up with foam tape. The background map paper from Smarty Pants 6x6 paper pad was added and sewing was done along the side. The arrow image from the new TE Every Which Way set was stamped on the tag and colored with Copics. The Mini Caps Alpha Dies were used for the month and year and ...

the wooden pieces, corrugated cardboard, hemp cording, burlap ribbon, ticket, and envelope finish off the journal and the card.

The bookmark was created with the previously released TE Banner Stacklets 2, the Every Which Way stamps, and the Mini Caps Alpha dies. Copics were used to color the arrow image and wrinkled seam binding finishes it off. I sure hope she likes her gift!!!

How about a little inspiration from the Baker's Dozen DT...they have created some awesome projects for you today!!!!!!

Hello everyone!!! I am so excited to welcome you to the Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks!! You are going to love this new release...it's packed full of fabulous new stamps and dies...Woot!!! Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.

Ok...get comfy and enjoy the show!!!

My first project is the ultimate back to school gift for your favorite teacher!! I used the Taylored Expressions Pencil Topper die along with several of the new Little Bits dies ( Little Bits Crayon, Little Bits Globe, Little Bits School House) to create the pencil toppers. The new TE Apple Stacklets and Apple Stems and Seeds were used to create the apple on the front of the previously released TE Sack It to You box, the apple card, and the three little apples on the Pencil Topper.

The Pencil Toppers were cut out of Choice Kraft and stamped with sentiments from the new TE Mischief Maker - Back To School stamp set.  The Little Bits Schoolhouse, Globe, and Crayon Dies along with the Apple Stacklets were all used with different colored card stock and adhered with foam dots.

The previously released TE Sack It To You Die was used with Choice Kraft and Smarty Pants dp to create the container and the apple was created with the TE Apple Stacklets and Apple Stems and Seeds Dies

The apple card was created with the TE Apple Stacklets and the Apple Stems and Seeds Dies...the sentiment is from the new TE Mischief Maker - Back To School stamp set and the button and hemp cording finish it off.

My second creation features two new Taylored Expressions stamp sets: Talk Nerdy to Me for the sentiments and Smarty Pants for the owl.

The owl was colored with Copics, cutout with the coordinating Smarty Pants die, and popped up with foam tape. The branch was created using the previously released TE Around the Camp Fire dies and the previously released TE Say What? Conversation Bubbles were used for the sentiments.

The only other detail was a little sewing around the edges.....I can't believe I didn't even use a little twine...LOL!!!

Check out what the Baker's Dozen DT has created for you today!!

TLC493 Faux Block Image

Hello everyone!! It's my turn to host the TLC challenge on Splitcoast and I have a fun one for you!! There are a lot of new block image stamps out there but most of us don't have the money to buy all the ones we want. So, why don't we make our own...my challenge to you is to make a *faux block image*.  Here are the deets:

1. Chose a stamp that has an image that will fill the  space you need for your design.
2. Mask off the desired size area you want your stamped image
3. Stamp the image and color
4. Remove the masking tape. Using a ruler, draw a frame around your image using a journaling pen, the small end of a SU, TH, or any other marker with a thin tipped end.

or you can cheat like I did....

1. Mask off  the desired size area on a scratch piece of card stock
2. Stamp your image and color
3. Remove the masking tape and crop your image
4. Adhere the image to your card base.
5. Draw around the image with your pen or marker.

My card features a stamp from a retired 2005 Stampin Up set called Along the Shore. It was stamped on white card stock that was masked and colored with Copics. The masking tape was removed and the image was cutout and adhered to the white background that was spattered with Pool Party ink. A journaling pen was used to draw a frame line around the image. The sentiment stamp is from Waltzingmouse and the Baker's Twine is the finishing touch.  This is also for Fee's DTGD challenge on Splitcoast...this was a fun one!!

Thanks for stopping by.....I hope you can join us for this weeks Technique Lover's Challenge!!!
