Taylored Expressions March Sneak Peeks: Wild Birthdays!

Hello everyone and welcome to day two of the Taylored Expressions March Sneak Peeks!!! I have a couple of birthday cards for you today featuring some super cute new stamps and dies but first I want to remind you that the TE March release is Thursday, March 3, at 7:00 AM PST (9:00 CST). Also...

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog to answer Taylor’s Question of the Day for a chance to win a prize from the latest release!

My first card features the Little Bits - Let's Talk Bubble and the Let's Talk Sentiments stamp set. To create my little scene, the sky and hills were watercolored on watercolor paper....the hills were cutout with the previously released Build a Scene - Rolling Hills dies and adhered to the sky background with foam dots. The paper pieced trees were cut out of patterned paper and Toffee cardstock for the trunks with the previously released Build a Scene - Trees and the evergreens were cut out of Sweet Basil cardstock with the previously released Buils a Scene - Winter Trees. The previously released Little Bits - Fox die was used for the super cute little fox and pearls were added for the eyes and nose.

The previously released Build a Scene - Swirly Clouds were cut out of Sugar Cube cardstock as was the Little Bits - Let's Talk Bubble. The sentiment from the Let's Talk Sentiments stamp set was stamped on the bubble with Memento Rich Cocoa and the twine finishes it off.

Supply List:
Taylored Expressions Stamps: Let’s Talk Sentiments
Paper: Toffee, Sugar Cube, Sweet Basil (TE), Really Rust (SU), Watercolor Paper (Strathmore Cold Press 140 lb), Harvest Lane 6x6 paper pad (Simple Stories)
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Mint Melody, Marina Mist (SU), Memento Rich Cocoa (Tsukineko)
Accessories: Black Pearls (KaiserCraft), Twine (The Twinery)
Taylored Expressions Dies: Little Bits - Let’s Talk Bubble 1, Little bits - Fox, Build a Scene - Trees, Build a Scene - Rolling Hills, Build a Scene - Curly Clouds

My second card features the Tag Stacklets 3 dies....instead of using them for tags, I decided to create balloons with them. I just love dies that one can use in lots of different ways!! They were cutout of patterned paper and twine was attached. The giraffe and the little bird from the previously released Hippo Birdy stamp set were cut out with the Hippo Birdy dies and popped up with foam dots. The giraffe was paper pieced and the bird was colored with Copics.

The sentiment from the same set was stamped on Oreo cardstock and embossed with white opaque embossing powder. I have several little Grandsons so this will be perfect for one of them!!

Supply List:
Taylored Expressions Stamps: Hippo Birdy
Paper: Sugar Cube, Oreo (TE), Kraft in Color 6x6 paper pad (Doodlebug), My Girl 6x6 paper pad (My Mind’s Eye), Blissful 6x6 paper pad (Authentique)

Both of these cards are delightful. Your watercolouring is beautiful and making the balloons out of the tag dies is so clever.
