Color Throwdown Challenge #378

Hello everyone!! We have been having such wonderful weather...it's been in the 70's to 80's however, the Cedar pollen is out in full force and we are all suffering from allergies...coughing, sneezing, runny nose...uck!!! We need a good freeze so we can breath again. OK...enough complaining....It's Wednesday again and time for another Color Throwdown Challenge!! Lori is this week's hostess and she has picked such a pretty color combo: red, pink, lt blue, and dark gray. This is perfect for a Valentine or any other love card...my son and his wife are celebrating 8 years together so I made an anniversary card for them.

We have a new DT member....Amy Rysavy!!! We enjoyed having Amy as our January guest so much that we asked her to stay on as a full time team member...we are so glad that she said yes!!! We also have a new guest designer for February, the mega talented Kay Miller, and this week's Guest Star Stamper is Samantha Johnson!!

The Taylored Expressions Shade Tree Cutting Plate was used to cut a Sugar Cube and an Earl Grey diecut...they were then cut apart and adhered to the background patterned paper that was cutout with the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets.  The flowers were cutout of Cherry Pop and Lollipop cardstock with the Bloom Where They're Planted dies and popped up with foam tape.

I found a piece of watercolor paper that had been watercolored with pink reinkers...the Bless Your Nest Dies were used to cut the birds and they were popped up with foam tape. The tiny hearts were cutout with the heart die from the Little Bits - Stamp of Approval die set and the sentiment from the Perfect Pairs Burger & Fries stamp set was stamped with Versamark onto the Earl Grey cardstock and cutout with the Stitched Banner Stacklets. The white enamel dots for the flower centers finish it off.

Remember, be sure to add CTD378 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!! Also, please use #378 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.

You will find all the challenge details on the Color Throwdown Blog.

What a sweet anniversary card! Love how you slightly offset the branch die cuts. It gives the design such a dimensional look.
