TLC527 One Cardstock, One Color



Hello everyone!! It's been a wild 2 weeks around here...my hubs had surgery on the 17th.  Since he can't lift over 5 lbs and can't drive for a while, I have been doing double duty!!! Not much crafty or computer time but that's ok...as long as he has a smooth recovery without any complications, that's the main thing!!! Anyway...
My friend, Anne Harmon, was the TLC hostess this week and she had a super cool TLC challenge on Splitcoast...one cardstock and one color. This is what I came up with...

 I used several Taylored Expressions diecuts that I had in my scrap box and a few extra ones to make this Easter card.

Taylored Expressions Share Joy Champaign



Hello everyone!!! March, 2015 marks the third phase of the Taylored Expressions Share Joy Champaign!! They are proud to partner with the Spiritual Care Department of the Unity Point Health System in Des Moines, Iowa. In the course of their work providing support to families whose loved ones passed away while in their care, the Spiritual Support Team Discovered that sending cards to families significantly improved their ability to grieve in healthy ways. Words of love and encouragement make a deep impact when they come on a hand-crafted card, so to assist the Spiritual Care team in their work Taylored Expressins will be providing them with cards to send in the months and years ahead. Please join us by donating your hand-made Thinking of You cards to this wonderful cause....you can find all the details here!!! 



My card features the Silhouette Stems 6 die....it was cut on the back side of the top white layer and then a scrap piece of We Go Together 6x6 paper pad paper was taped to the back side. The sentiment from TE's Wispy Wishes stamp set was stamped across the stem and then the white layer was embossed with the Dotted Lattice Embossing Folder 

The sketch was created by Jen Shults for the Share Joy Champaign and is available for you to use if you like!!







The background papers are also from the We Go Together 6x6 paper pad from Pebbles and the button, ribbon, cording, enamel dots and heart finish it off.

Taylored Expressions and Tombow Spring Fling Blog Hop

My card features the super cute Taylored Expressions Easter stamp set called 
Egg-stra Special...The image was watercolored with the Tombow Dual Brush Pens - Soda Pop set. The pens were colored on an acrilic block and then the ink was picked up with an aqua pen. The pens were used directly to the paper in the smaller areas for a darker shade and the watercolor technique was used for the sky. The Wispy Grass Border was used to cut the grass diecut and the smallest frame from the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate was used to cut the frame around the sentiment from the same set. 


The TE Woodgrain Embossing Folder was used on the Toffee cardstock background and the banners were cut from several pieces of scrap patterned paper to include one from the TE Rainbow Brights 6x6 paper pack. All the papers were glued together with the Tombow Glue Pen. 


A little sewing was done along the edges of the banners and the enamel dots and twine finish it off.
