It's Another TLC Challenge!!

It's my turn to host the Technique Lover's Challenge on Splitcoast this week and the challenge is sewing...real or faux. I have three types of sewing on this sample...faux sewing around the edges of the layered flower, real sewing around the background edges, and I used a leaf stamp that had the stitching already done for me...how easy is that!!!!
The flower layers were stamped with PTI's Fresh Snow with Rubbernecker's Script stamp ( which, btw, you can't see but I promise it is there!!) and faux stitching was done around the edges. I didn't do any piercing because I wanted the faux stitching to match the leaves which had the stitching on the stamp. The leaf stamp from Studio 490's set called Ticket to Art was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, cutout, and attached with dimensionals.
The sentiment from PTI's Communique Curves Sentiments was stamped onto the Anna Griffin dp and sewing was done around the edges. The button with twine and Stickles on the flower edges finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Script bg, Studio 490 Ticket to art, PTI's Communique Curves Sentiments
Paper: Black, Pure Luxury Ivory, Anna Griffin dp
Ink: Baja Breeze, Memento Tuxedo Black, Fresh Snow
Accessories: Twine, Nestabilities Blossom Dies, Old Button, Sewing Machine, Stickles

I also just had to make one more Christmas card...the candle image from Rubbernecker was colored with Copics and glitter was added for a little glam. Sewing was done around the edges of the background and stickers were used for the sentiment.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Christmas Candle
Paper: White, Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, Basic Grey dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Corner Rounder Punch, Glitter, Sewing Machine, Stickers, Ribbon

Thanks for visiting...please join us for the TLC challenge...I would love to see what you do with a little sewing on your cards!!!

Love both of your cards Joan! The blue flower against the patterned background with the stickles on the edges of the petals...so pretty!
The colours on the candle and holly/pine boughs, perfectly coloured/shaded. I will try my hand at the TLC this week :)

I love both cards, that flower is gorgeous, the color is so soft and pretty and the touch of glitter, pretty and your Christmas card is so perfect, reminds me of something I would like on my table. May have to try this one, since I never sew on cards and my faux sew, well....I will try :)
