Christmas Shoebox Swap Cards

Hello everyone...hope you are having a great weekend!!! I went to Salado, Texas Friday evening for the Christmas Stroll. Salado is a wonderful little village full of shops, antiques, and the best little stamp shop north of Austin!! Since I babysat for my two youngest DGSs (my little wild men) during the day...getting away to shop with my good friend was sooo wonderful!! Then my DD Holly and I went to the North Austin Christmas Shoebox Swap all day yesterday....whoohoo!!! We had so much fun and made some fabulous cards, too!!! Here are few of the swap cards we made......
This adorable Santa was so fun and easy to make...no stamping...just punched pieces along with the top note cutouts. When I got home, I added the Flower Soft to his hat pom pom and used a Gelly Roll Clear glitter pen around the hat border. The original design was a tag but I mounted him on a mat and cardbase...he will be mailed to someone special on Monday!! This was one of my favorites...we stamped the leaves, cut them out, and attached them to a
1 3/4" cardstock circle. The cardbase and mat are gold metallic cardstock.

Isn't this little cardinal adorable...we made him from the Stampin Up! bird punch. Jennifer, one of the stampers at the swap, took a picture of the instruction sheet for the cardinal. She is going to send it to me so if you want a copy, just let me know!!

This is such a fun round card....when I got home, I took the bulky ribbon off and added the baker's twine...it will be easier and cheaper to mail!!

This was the first card I made at the swap and wouldn't ya know...I messed up on it!!! We were supposed to use the long piece of torn fabric for the bow with a brad but mine looked pretty bad so when I got home, I added the ribbon in the background, made a bow with the fabric, and tied it with some twine. Now it will mail easily without extra postage!!
Thanks for visiting...have a great Sunday!!!

Wonderful, wonderful cards Joan. Can't decide which I like the best they are all awesome and creative but I think, I like the poinsettia the best.

What fabulous cards Joan! I just love the Santa, so creative, but the white with the leaves and pearls are my favorite, so elegant. Is that a SU stamp for the leaves? If so I need one of those :).
I also love the cardinal, so cute.

Joan, these are all awesome cards. My favorite is the white poinsettia. It is gorgeous and second is the red cardinal and yes I want a copy of the instructions for making the bird. I am ordering the punch.

I'm so glad you had some fun play time, Joanie! These cards are all terrific! I love the elegance of the poinsettia, and the cuteness of the punched Santa, and that cardinal rocks!!! I love cardinals. I would be interested in knowing what you used besides the bird punch to make that cardinal.

Love them all, but the white poinsettia is just stunning, definitely the best all-white card I've seen this year. Looks like you've been really busy, Joan. CoB
