A Blank Canvas

Hello everyone...hope all is well with you and yours!!! We spent yesterday at the hospital with our DGD Autumn. She is undergoing some tests and may go home tonight...yeaaa!! The hospital has a wonderful Child Life program...they are keeping her busy with lots of craft projects, movies, and games. We couldn't go today so I am working off my nervous energy by wrecking havic in my craft room!! Anyway...
The Splitcoast Color Challenge colors today are red, white, and black...they are just perfect for a Valentine!! I even added the dessert option which is a heart...whoohoo!!! This is also for da Mudder's Teapot Tuesday challenge to create our own masterpiece from a blank canvas without using stamps. I don't think my flower drawing qualifies for a masterpiece but I was able to add a little color to a blank canvas. The flowers were colored with chalk and I wrote the sentiment for my DH. The sparkly heart and ribbon finish it off.
What great challenges today...I just had to make another card....I did cheat just a little by stamping the sentiment....please don't tell da Mudder!! This little Santa is going to Kris (krischir) who is da Mudder's destination Station today...it might be a little late, Kris, but it's a comin!!! I drew the little Santa, added Flower Soft to the fur on the hat, and made his beard with buttons...I even got a couple of hearts on this...can you find them???
Recipe:
Stamps: Perfect Ending
Paper: Real Red, White, Black
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Buttons, Flower soft, Round Punches, Ribbon, Black Pearls for the Eyes, Chalk for his Cheeks
Thanks for dropping by today especially during this busy Holiday week.....hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Your Valentine card is lovely...I bet you stayed in the lines when coloring as a girl!!! Obey all the rules right???? Hee, hee...

I will be praying for your DGD. That hospital sounds like they know healing comes in many directions.

God Bless and Merry Christmas

Second attempt at leaving a comment, first one didnt show.

I thought your flowers were a stamp at first because I have seen many images just like that, so your drawing skills are great. I love that card, looks beautiful. Your santa card is so jolly and a brill idea to do the beard in buttons. yes I spotted a couple of hearts on it, but had to go looking!
Hope all goes well for Autumn, sorry to hear that she isn't well. CoB

Prayers for your DGD and family, that is so hard when anyone is in the hospital but even harder when they are younger. Your cards are beautiful and fun, love the Valentine's Card, so CAS and sweet. What a fun Santa Card, love how you used the buttons.

Both cards are so creative. I think your valentine is sweet, and I didn't know you didn't use a stamp for your flowers until I read it. Also I love Santa's beard- what a clever creation!
