Gina K's Center Stage Spotlignt Designer Challenge

Good morning everyone.....hope you are having a great day!!! I have been a bit under the weather lately with a terrible virus that has lasted for 2 weeks now!! The cough is enough to wear one out, for sure. Now, both my parents have it so I have been making soup and running errands for them as well as trying to make all of Cody's ball games. Then to top all that off, I broke a piece off a tooth and ended up having 3 root canals...yikes!!!! They did not finish them because the dentist couldn't find all the roots so I have to go back on Thursday for him to complete the procedures. Needless to say, I have not been stamping much but I did get my fingers inky last night and they are still aqua this morning!!!

I made this for Gina K's challenge to search for the next Center Stage Spotlight Designer. The challenge was to choose your favorite movie and create a project using one of the brand new April stamp sets that was inspired by the movie choice. I used images from Gifts From the Sea by Melanie Muenchinger and the movie I found inspiration from was Beaches staring Bette Midler. I love the sweetness of the movie......true friendship is a precious kind of love!! I was inspired by the love and the wonderful beach scenes. The shell images were all stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa, colored with copics, and attached with dimensionals. The twine was strung around the shells and attached with glue dots. The shell charm was tied on the end and the waves were sponged with Vivid Aqua ink.
Recipe:
Stamps: Gifts From the Sea
Paper: Pure Luxury Ivory, Pure Luxury Ocean Mist, Pure Luxury Kraft
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Vivid Aqua
Accessories: Copics, Charm, Twine, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by this morning....hope y'all stay well and btw...Cody's team won again last night...Whoohoo!!!!

Your card, depicting Beaches, is gorgeous. You may not be feeling well, but your Mojo is still healthy.

Joan, your colouring on these looks spectacular! Love all of the distressed edges too.

I am sorry to hear that you have not been feeling well and your tooth...oh dear. I hope it goes well at the dentist's office and don't try to do too much. All in good time.
