I hopped out of bed this morning and went straight to the craft room to make this card for the color challenge on Splitcoast. The colors were Dusty Durango, So Saffron, and Rich Razzleberry...not a combo I would pick but I love how this turned out!!!
The Hero Arts Bird in a Circle image from Stampers Dream was stamped on white cardstock and colored with copics. The outside script section was sponged with So Saffron and the background Dusty Durange layer was stenciled with a piece of punched paper and Dusty Durango ink. The ribbon, pearls, twine, and punched butterflies finish it off.
The bird and one of the flowers were stamped twice, cutout, and popped up with dimensionals. I cut a slit at the side of the circle to slip the ribbon through.
Recipe:
Stamps: Hero Arts Bird in a Circle
Paper: Dusty Durango, Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron, White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, So Saffron
Accessories: Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Ribbon, Twine, Copic

I made this card yesterday for the Technique Lovers Challenge on Splitcoast....the challenge was to use a frame. I used my last chipboard frame up last week so I made a frame with Nestabilities and Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry dp. The spice shelf from Clear Dollar Stamps Vintage Spices set was colored with copics and the gathered ribbon, buton, and felt flower and leaf finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps Vintage Spices
Paper: White, Old Olive, Real Red, Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Ribbon, Nestabilities, Felt Flower and Leaf, Button, Dimensionals

Joan, this is wonderful! I just love how you used these colors! Wonderful design! The frame card is fabulous, too! Love that frame shape. I do not use this shape near enough. Love it hear with the shelf image! Great colors and detailing! Lovely cards!
Thanks for visiting my blog. we also have tons of fire ants, and some of the others too. not so many rattlesnakes. we think the coyotes are the reason the bunny is in our yard and not in the woods.
Fantastic cards, Joan. Love how you popped up the bird and flowers in the first one and everything about that second one is just adorable!
These are beautiful Joan!! I jsut love your ruffled ribbon, and the feminine details on your second card and the spring scene with the distressing on the first. it has a shabby chic feel. Great take on the color challenge!!
