Friday Morning Catch-Up!!

Good morning everyone....it seems that Spring has sprung here in Central Texas...this old girl has been outside digging in the dirt most of the week!!! I spent all the grocery money on plants so it's peanut butter sandwichs and Mac and cheese for the next week...LOL!!!

I made this card yesterday for the sketch challenge on Splitcoast. I also made this for Anne Ryan's Queen For the Day challenge to Honor Linda (Snail)...Congrats, Linda!!!!! I chose to case her Many Thanks card. I kept the same colors and silhouette/butterfly theme but changed the sketch and stamps to Rubbernecker's Weeds images and Rubbernecker's Butterfly Inchies. The images were all stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and the butterflies were colored with copics. The papers are from Basic Grey's Origins and the ribbon finishes it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Weeds, Rubbernecker Butterfly Inchies
Paper: Garden Green, Black, Basic Grey Origins
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Ribbon, Copics, Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Scallop Punch

I made this card Tuesday for the color challenge on Splitcoast. The colors were Cameo Coral, Blush Blossom, and Ruby Red. The dessert option was Creamy caramel or Close to Cocoa. This is also for Sunday's Featured Stamper Challenge, the AWESOME Pat Smethers!! I cased her Virginia's Garden card....kept the same layout and theme but changed the colors, flowers, added buttons, used wood flourishes instead of die cuts, and changed the stamps to Rubbernecker's Weed image, Floral image, and sentiment. I also added a scalloped border along the side. I hope you are enjoying your week in the spotlight, gf...you are sooo deserving!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Sentiment, Rubbernecker Weed image #497-16, Flower image #496-03
Paper: Cameo Coral, Blush Blossom, Ruby Red, Making Memories dp
Ink: Ruby Red, Creamy Caramel
Accessories: Wood Flourish, Flowers, Buttons, Martha Stewart Cording, Martha Stewart Fence Punch, Martha Stewart Scalloped Border Punch, Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Leaf Punch

The Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast last Saturday was to make a card to honor our home state. I just had to make a card with our beautiful Texas Bluebonnets!! They are blooming in abundance everywhere now....the countryside looks gorgeous!! I used one of Rubbernecker's new release Weed images...the stamp was colored with markers, stamped on the white cs, and then a white gel pen was used to add the white highlights. The prima, button, and twine finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Weed #497-01
Paper: White, The Paper Studio dp
Ink: Brilliant Blue and Old Olive Markers
Accessories: Nestabilities, Prima, Button, Twine

I got this adorable stamp from Auntie Amy's Stamps at CHA and finally had a chance to ink it up. The image was colored with copics and the dress and bow were paper pieced.
Recipe:
Stamps: Auntie Amy's
Paper: White, Black, SU dp
Ink: Memento Onyx Black
Accessories: Spellbinders Scalloped Border, Ribbon, Pearls, Nestabilities

Thanks for visiting today...hope your Friday is super special!!!

Wow, you have been busy, Joan! I love all these cards! Sounds like pbj's and mac n' cheese are a pretty good trade off for some beautiful flowers, hehe ;D

You must be thinking all about Spring Joan...so many beautiful flowers! All gorgeous cards! Love how you stamped the 'weed's and butterflies right onto the DP on the first card, love the colors and layout of the second, the lovely blue flowers on the third, and everything about the last one is amazing. That image is adorable, and the black accents really make everything stand out. Such a fabulous job on all of them! :)

Is it raining up their today? It is here, so that makes it a perfect day to scrap.. I've had the little ones since Wednesday, and even though I'm off today, I still took them to daycare this morning.. Grandma needed some "ME" time!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend gf!!!! XXXX
