Wacky Wednesday Challenge and The Creative Belli Challenge

Good morning everyone!!! It's Wednesday and you know what that means...it's time for another Rubbernecker Wacky Wednesday. Today's hostess is Broni and her challenge is to use flowers!

The flowers from Rubbernecker's Wildflower Silhouette Set #466 were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with copics. The butterflies are from Rubbernecker's Springtime Inchies #425 and the sentiment is from Rubbernecker's Wildflower Set #465. All the images were cutout and attached around the sentiment layers with dimensionals and glue dots. The antennas were drawn on the background paper and primas, a Candy Dot, button, and ribbon finish it off.

The Creative Belli Challenge

The Belli challenge this week is to make a card with wood somewhere on the card......check it out on the Creative Belli Blog!!

The adorable bird image form Unity's July KOTM was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with Copics. The background layers were cutout with Nestabilities and the brown layer was run through the Cuttlebug with the Dotted Swiss folder. The Kaiser Scrapbook Wood Flourish is from Stamper's Dream and the ribbon and flowers finish it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Unity's July Kit of the Month
Paper: White, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Sunshine Lollipops dp by Sassafras
Accessories: Ribbon, Candy Dot, Flowers, Wood Flourish, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Copics

My DD Holly gave me this stamped sentiment layer and said "OK, Mom, see what you can do with this." I decided to use some Stampin Up dp for the background, nestled the sentiment into the wood flourish, added the ornament and wound the silver cording around the flourish, added all the pearls, and added the felt snowflakes. Thanks, Holly, for the great inspiration piece!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Ornamassortment
Paper: White, Basic Gray, Bashful Blue, Stampin Up dp
Ink: Basic Gray, Bashful Blue, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Felt Snowflakes, Pearls, Wood Flourish, Silver Cording, Dimensionals

Joan, that bird is stunning. Your coloring of it and pairing with the DP is perfect, and I love those wood flourishes. You also did a great job with Holly's little challenge for you! So fun that you two share this great hobby!

These are fabulous cards Joan!! The swirly wood embellishments are a great find! The holiday one is wonderful with the cording wrapped around it, makes me think of cool swirling winds...but then I hardly remember what that might be like, since it seems like it's been 100 degrees for months out here in these parts, huh?!! LOL!!
