Hello everyone...hope you had a wonderful weekend!! We had a long day Saturday moving my DIL's Mother. My DGD Autumn road with me and was in charge of the radio...lucky me...I got to listen to Lady GaGa all the way home...yikes!!! Have any of you heard of her or am I the only over the hill Grandma around??? Anyway....I made a card with my new Lockhart Violet Cupcake stamp.....gotta love this adorable stamp!!! The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with copics. I played around with the layout for hours...finally had to stop and call it done!!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Lockhart Violet Cupcake, Gentler Times
Paper: Lavender Lace, White, So Saffron, SU Tea Party dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Ribbon, Pearls, Nestabilities, Dimensionals I repoted some of my African Violets last week and thought I would share pictures...these are plants that I grew from a start (leaf in water) that a friend gave me a couple of years ago.

I have a burgundy one that just started blooming but I think the blue one above is my favorite!!
Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great day!!!

You sure have a green thumb, GF! the only thing I could keep alive was KIDS, and at times I wasn't so sure.... you know!! I love this violet card! My Mom bought this Lockhart stamp, and we played with it, but, DARN, she took it home! I guess I need to get one too. I love the layout with the circles, and I am sure your ride with DGD was tough! I don't know a group after the Beatles!!

Beautiful card Joan! I love this little Lockhart stamp too, it's just so dainty and detailed and fun to colour.
I really admire your violets. You are one gifted lady!
Thanks for sharing the photos.
I don't have any grandchildren yet, but my grown kids are always telling me about new artists, but I have not heard of the artist you had the *pleasure* of listening to. ;)

Beautiful card, it captures the color of the real violets so well. Your African Violets are beautiful, never had any luck with them myself, so I like to admire someone else's 'green thumb'!
