Wacky Wednesday and The Creative Belli Challenge

Good morning everyone!! It's time for another Wacky Wednesday Rubbernecker challenge!!! Today's challenge is hosted by Broni Holcombe and she has challenged us to make an Easter card for a child. Check out the Rubbernecker blog for all the deets and a bio of Ms. Broni!! We will be giving away 3 certificates each week to 3 different participants who play along. The certificates will be good for 25% off your entire order at Rubbernecker Stamps. All you need to do to participate is upload your card (preferably using Rubbernecker images but not mandatory) to any online gallery and/or blog, and post a link to the challenge blog post. In order to win, you must post a link back by Monday of the following week. Winners will be announced on Tuesdays.

This is an Easter card for a little girly girl who loves flowers and butterflies!! The background paper is from Basic Grey's Urban Prairie...the layers were sewn on and sewing was also done for the butterfly trail. The Stamp Oasis Butterfly
was stamped twice with Memento Tuxedo Black, once on the pink layer and once on a scrap of white cs. The scrap piece was colored with copics, the wings were cutout and attached over the butterfly stamped on the pink paper. The large flower layers were put together with glue dots and the stem is a piece of green velvet ric rac. Lace, buttons, wire, and beads finish it off.
The Rubbernecker Design Team, as always, will delight you with their creations. Be sure to visit their blogs for lots of inspiration!!!

Creative Belli Challenge

The Belli challenge on the Creative Belli Blog this week is to make bookmarks!! I had so much fun with this challenge that I ended up making three.
I have lots of *reading* friends so these will make great birthday gifts!!

The Hampton Arts image was stamped with Ranger Distress Black Soot and the edges were sponged with Ranger Distress Vintage Photo. The background paper by Graphic 45 was cut out with a long scalloped Nestie and red and black ribbon and gold cording finish it off.

I used a Snag'em Stamp by Imaginisce for the tree image...stamped it with Archival Black onto the SEI dp and colored the flowers with a pink copic. The sentiment is a Stampin Up stamp that I found loose in a box of other sentiments....sorry I don't know what set it came from. The round layers were cutout with Nesties, the rectangle layers were punched out using Marvy punches, and the background SEI dp was cutout with a long scalloped Nestie. The ribbon runs around the bookmark and is attached at the top with the large eyelet.

I think this one is my favorite....I love the vintage, grungeie look!!
The background was created using an Ink Blending tool and Ranger Distress Peeled Paint ink on a shipping tag. I developed a tutorial using this technique here.
The Inque Boutique Grunge images were stamped over the inked up background with Archival Black and embossed with clear ep. The script image was stamped over the embossed images and then a mix of Perfect Pearls (Perfect Pearl color) and water was lightly misted over the finished design.

Be sure to visit the Creative Belli Design Team Member's blogs to read more details about their designs. You will find lots of awesome ideas!!! If you upload a card to Splitcoast or PCP, be sure to add CBC60 in the keywords section.
Thanks so much for visiting today....I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!!!!
