Color Throwdown Challenge #376

Hello everyone!!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!!! We went to Ryan's basketball game yesterday at 5:00 PM and then belined it to Mackenzie's soccer game at 7:00....I think this old grandma is getting too old for all this excitment...LOL!!! We don't have another game till Friday so we have time to rest up!!! In the meantime...it's Wednesday and time for another Color Throwdown Challenge! Jodi is our hostess and don't you just love the colors she chose...pink, aqua, kraft, and white...so pretty!!!

I have a large box with lots of left over Taylored Expressions diecuts from other projects and for this challenge I decided to dig around and find some diecuts in the challenge colors...after playing around for an hour or two, this is what I came up with. The background designer paper was cut with the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and the heart, which was embossed with the Swiss Hearts Embossing Folder, was cut out of Sugar Cube cardstock with one of the Hearts Stacklets dies.

The Salt Water Taffy frame was cut with one of the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate dies, the flowers were cut with Bloom Where You're Planted dies, the banner was cut with one of the Stitched Banner Stacklets, and the pig was cut and stamped with the Quick Critters Stamp & Die Combo. The sentiment is from the Love Makes the World Go Round stamp set and the twine and wood dots finish it off.

Remember, be sure to add CTD376 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!! Also, please use #376 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.

You will find all the challenge details on the Color Throwdown Blog.

Negative Die Cutting

Hello everyone!!  I have been playing around with some of my Taylored Expressions dies and decided to create a card with the negative diecut technique.

One of the frames from the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate was used to cut the design panel from Candy Corn cardstock....the vase from the Various Vases die set and the flower from the Bloom Where You're Planted set were cut out of this panel. The Pocket & Pages - Circle Words die and the little butterfly from the
In Flight Overlays die set were cut out of  Sprinkles cardstock

A scrap piece of patterned paper from the TE 6x6 paper pack - Double the Joy was adhered to the back of the vase cutout with foam dots and then the leaf die from the Bloom Where You're Planted die set was used to cut out the leaves.

Peapod cardstock was adhered to the back of the leaf cutout and Sprinkles cardstock was adhered to the back of the flower diecut...both were adhered with foam dots.

The SMILE was cut out of the Pockets & Pages - Circle Words diecut and adhered to the front of the card along with the little butterfly. The panel was then popped up on the same paper as the vase.

To finish it off, an enamel dot was added to the flower center.

Thanks so much for stopping by...have a wonderful day!!!

Color Throwdown Challenge #375

Hello everyone...I hope you are having a good week!!! We have had some beautiful days around here!! The temps have been in the 60's and 70's. The problem with that is the plants and trees think it's spring and start to bloom...then when it gets colder and we have a freeze, we loose all the flowers and fruit. What a bummer!! Hopefully, we won't have a freeze and spring comes early!! Anyway....

It's Wednesday and time for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge!! It's my turn to host the challenge and I have picked some bright, springy colors!!! I hope to see lots of flowers, birds, trees, and fun critters in the CTD gallery this week!!!

My card features the cute Stampin Up! set called Circle of Spring...I haven't played with my SU goodies for ages. I love this wreath set!! The wreath, popped up fussy cut flowers, and the fussy cut bow were all stamped with Memento Gray Flannel and colored with Copics. The sentiment is from the same set and orange rhinestones were added to the flower centers. Plain and simple but great for mailing...this will go in the mail tomorrow for my friend's birthday.

Remember, be sure to add CTD375 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!! Also, please use #375 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.

You will find all the challenge details on the Color Throwdown Blog.
