Color Throwdown Challenge #334


Hello everyone...it's Wednesday again and time for this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge!!! Don't you just love the colors our hostess Tammy picked.... I never would have put these together but after looking at the inspiration piece...they look like they belong together!!!


I pulled out one of my favorite Paper Smooches sets called Needle Little Loving...the hearts and sentiment were stamped with Memento Nautical Blue and paper pieced with scraps of patterned paper...the Baker's Twine and enamel dots finish it off. It's very CAS and perfect to give to my hubs!!

Bloom Where You're Planted


Hello everyone!! Hope all is well with you...did you have a wonderful weekend?? I spent it trying to get all my tax info together...I always put it off till the last minute, however, my tax man will be a little shocked because I will have all the info to him before April 1!! Yay me!!!! Maybe I'm turning over a new leaf...LOL!!! Anyway....

 My die focus this month is the adorable Taylored Expressions Bloom Where You're Planted set...the blooms were cut out of Cherry Pop, Pumpkin, and Cookie Monster cardstock...the leaves were cut out of Granny Smith cardstock and enamel dots were added to the flower centers. 


The Thinking Of You sentiment is from the Shine Bright stamp set and the border was cut out of Cherry Pop cardstock with the TE Small Scallop Border die....the twine and rounded corner finish it off.  Very CAS and bright...hopefully, this will lift someones spirits!!

Color Throwdown Challenge #333


Hello everyone!!! It's Wednesday again and time for this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge!! Monika is the hostess and the colors she picked are lavender, lt. gray, green, and white..... perfect colors for a springy flower design!!!



I didn't have any plumy colored lavender so I went with Almost Amethyst...the flowers from the WPlus9 set called Coming Up Roses were stamped with Almost Amethyst and the leaves from the same set were stamped with Pear Pizzazz. The diecut sentiment is also from WPlus9 and it was cut out of Going Gray...the cording and rhinestones finish it off.

Easter Greetings and Guess What!!!


Hello everyone!!  Guess What!!! The Scrapbook and Cards Today Blog  is featuring Taylored Expressions February Release products today and cards from the Baker's Dozen will be featured!!! How cool is that!!!! 

 My card features the adorable You've Got Mail - Spring stamp...it was colored with Copics, fussy cut, and popped up with foam tape. The sentiment is from the Calla Lily Bouquet Stamp and Die Combo set and the background paper is Taylored Expressions new 6x6 paper pack called For Peeps Sake....the background Salt Water Taffy layer was embossed with the Dotted Lattice Embossing Folder.   


The frame was created with one of the Skinny Minny Borders 2 dies and Lollipop cardstock....the button, twine, tiny pearls for the flower centers, and sewing finish it off.

Taylored Expressions March Release: Garden Arbor and Gate and Block Party - Love

Hello everyone and welcome to the Taylored Expressions March Release Day !!!!! 
Today is the day all the new goodies are available for purchase in the New Products Section of the Taylored Expressions Store...that means they can come live in your craft room...Woot!!!! 


My first card features several new stamp and die sets along with a few previously released dies, too!!! The new Garden Arbor with Gate die set was used along with the new Arbor Accessories (vine and flowers) and the new Arbor Fence. The vine was cut out of Sweet Basil cardstock and the flowers were cut from a scrap piece of patterned paper.


The new Wispy Grass Border was used to cut the grass from Sweet Basil cardstock and the sentiment is from the Mixed Blooms stamp set. The previously released Cloud Duo dies were used for the clouds and the previously released Build a Scene - Sunshine die. 



My second card features the new Carried Away Stamp and Die Combo set and the new Block Party - Love die. I decided to use the love die vertically (it can be used horizontally and at an angle...what ever fits your design) and it was backed with Salt Water Taffy cardstock. 


The image was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa onto the Toffee card base.  The little hearts were cut from patterned paper and the sentiment from the same set was stamped on a patterned paper banner that was hand cut.
