Hello everyone!! Today is the day we have been waiting for.....it's Release Day at the Taylored Expressions Store.....Woot!!!!  Fourteen adorable Petite stamp sets and matching dies are available for purchase~~how awesome is that!!!! They would make wonderful stocking stuffers for that special stamping friend or for you!!!!

I used a combo of two new sets with the coordinating dies  plus two sets of previously released dies to create my card today.

The sweet little flowers from the Oh Happy Day set were all colored with Copics, cutout with the matching dies, and popped up on the background with foam tape. The background was sponged with soft sky ink and my homemade die template.  The grass was created with the Build a Scene-Rolling Hills dies and the green patterned paper is from the Bundle of Joy 6x6 paper pad.....sewing was done along the top edges of the hills.

The cute little pup is from the Watson set....he was colored with Copics, cutout with his matching die and popped up with foam tape. The sentiments were Stamped on Choice Snow White card stock, cutout with the Label It die, and adhered with glue dots...the button and cording finish it off!!

Check out what the Baker's Dozen Designers created for you today...you are going to love all their awesome projects!!!

Taylored Expressions December Sneak Peeks: Petite - a - Palooza Day 2

Hello everyone!!! Welcome to day two of the Taylored Expressions Petite - a - Palooza Sneak Peeks!!!  14 new petite sets will be released Thursday morning at 7:00 AM PST. All the new sets have matching dies, too, which makes designing a card or project super easy and fun!!!!

Weren't yesterday's projects fabulous!!! Today the Baker's Dozen has more awesome cards and projects to show you so sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!!!!

My first card features the adorable balloon stamps from the Bugs and Balloons set!! The balloons and baskets were stamped with not quite navy and coastal cabana...they were both cut out with the Bugs and Balloons coordinating dies and popped up on the background that was sponged with my homemade cloud template and soft sky ink.

The sentiment was stamped with not quite navy, the background papers are from Simple Stories I (heart) Summer 6x6 paper pad and the sewing, twine, and button finish it off.

My second card features the chandelier stamp from the Shine Bright set....it's just perfect for an elegant design...love this set!!!  It was stamped on two pieces of white cardstock that were lined up with the upper layer in the center of the bottom layer with Versafine Onyx Black. The top piece was adhered to the black mat and popped up on the background piece with foam tape. A Project  Pantry Journaling pen was used to draw on the squiggly *hanger* and  a little sponging of barely banana was done to create a glow. A Copic marker was used to add some depth to the image and the ribbon  finishes it off.

How about a little inspiration from the Baker's Dozen Design team...I can't wait for you to see the awesome projects they created for you today!!!!

Color Throwdown Challenge #271

Hello everyone....it's Wednesday again and time for another Color Throwdown Challenge!!! This week Barbara is our hostess and she has picked some pretty, festive colors for us to play with!!! I thought the colors screamed Christmas so I made a Christmas card with a Taylored Expressions Christmas stamp set called Penguin Pals...isn't the little penguin adorable!!!

The penguin and Christmas tree image was colored with Copics and glitter was added to the Santa hat and the star. Jen's Deconstruction Sketch #127 was used along with the papers and card stock from Taylored Expressions December Bundled Up Project Pantry kit. The snowflake was cut out of Riding Hood Red card stock with Taylored Expressions Make a Snowflake die... a pearl was added to the center and the  hemp cording finishes it off.

Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors.....use what you have as long as they are close to the challenge colors and be sure to add CTD271 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!!

You can find out all the challenge details on the Color Throwdown Blog

Taylored Expressions December Sneak Peeks: Petite - a - Palooza Day 1

Hello everyone!!! I am really excited because today is day one of the Taylored Expressions December Release!!! It's the Petite - a - Palooza....14 new petite stamp sets and they all have matching dies...Woot!!!! You are going to love each and every one because they are sooo cuuute!!!!!

My first project is a door knob hanger for my Granddaughter  Autumn...I started making  door hangers this summer. When the Grands come to visit they lay claim to their room with their own personalized door knob hanger!!

I used the adorable new stamp set called Max and Muffin..the kitties were colored with Copics, cutout with the Max and Muffin coordinating dies and popped up on the background with foam tape. The background was created first with a square chipboard piece....the sky paper was adhered and the edges were sanded smooth. The grass was created with three different scrap pieces of paper and the Build a Scene-Rolling Hills dies..sewing was done on the tops of each piece before they were adhered.  The flowers from the new Oh Happy Day set were stamped on Choice Snow White card stock, colored with Copics, cutout with the Oh Happy Days coordinating dies and glued to the background. Pearls were added to the centers of the flowers and the clouds were cutout from Choice Snow White card stock with the Curly Clouds dies and popped up with foam tape. The Sweet and Simple Alpha - Lower and Upper were used to create Autumn's name.

Heavy twine was tied through holes punched in the upper corners for the hanger...this is how it looks on the door.

One of my favorite new petite sets is called Saddle Up...gotta love me some Cowgirl Boots...something a Texas girl wouldn't be caught without!!!!  The cute little boots were colored with Copics, cutout with the matching Saddle Up dies, and popped up with foam tape. The edges of the background barn wood paper were distressed and a little wonky sewing was done.

The sentiment was stamped on the patterned paper, punched out, and adhered with foam tape. The lasso for the sentiment frame was created from twine and the Doodlebug Sprinkles finish it off.

Now, how about a little inspiration from the Baker's Dozen Design Team!!:
