I used the adorable images from Clear Dollar Stamp's Dog Days set...stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Rich Cocoa, colored with copics, and attached the layers with dimensionals. 5 little bee buttons were used to harass that poor little pup in the dog house!!!

Tea Party at the North Pole and a New Baby!!!

Hello everyone!!! We have had a busy week around here....our baby donkey was finally born yesterday!!! First I want to share with you the card I made for the Color Challenge on Splitcoast. Betty challenged us to use neutral colors for the background layers with a pop of color in the colored image.
This is also for the DDC challenge hosted this week by Francie G. She challenged us to make a card with no less that 4 layers and ribbon or cording. You can see all the DDC cards here. These sweet little penguins may fool you...they are actually bionic and we are headed out to the North Pole to help out Santa...Whoohoo!!! Mrs. Claus is going to treat all the tea potters from Mothermark's Teapot Tusday Challenge to a feast in exchange for helping Santa since his old sled is not in good working order. My little penguins with the polar bear will get Christmas gifts delivered in no time!!! The adorable images are from Clear Dollar Stamps Just Chillin set...colored with copics, popped up on dimensionals, with silver pearls added to the snowflakes, and flower soft added to the snow.
Recipe:
Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps Just Chillin
Paper: White Chocolate Chip, Kraft, BoBunny St. Nick Holly Berry dp, SEI Christmas Mint dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Silver Pearls, Shear Ribbon, Flower Soft, Dimensionals

This is Mack....he was born yesterday on our DGD Mackenzie's 10th birthday. We have been waiting forever for this little guy to make an appearance!!! He came out half grown!!!
He looks a little like his dad...fewer stripes and white inside his ears.
Baby donkeys hop like bunnies...he is just sooo cute but his older brother, Larry, who was born on my cousin Larry's birthday last year, is really jealous. We have mom and baby in the pen for a few days so Larry can get used to the idea of sharing mom.

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you have a great evening!!

Halloween 2009

Hello everyone!!! Just thought I would share some pictures from Halloween. My DH worked 2 days constructing the fence around the front of the house for his *Haunted House*.
This is the entrance and the goblin is standing guard!! He set up a pully system for the ghosts to fly around on and the fog machine was going for the spooky look.
Everything was draped with *spider webs* and all the talking goblins were going off at the same time...I'm surprised the police didn't get called!!!

My wonderful grandbabies had a great time!!! Grandpa's was the in place to be!!!
George had so much fun with this that he went shopping on Sunday and found more Halloween stuff for 80% off...he already has his game plan for 2010!!

My parents had a great time....we had over 150 kids come for trick or treating!!

Thanks for visiting and I hope your Halloween was fun, too!!!

Hello everyone...I am soo excited tonight because Melanie Muenchinger asked me to take part in her October new stamps release for Gina K. Designs!!! Isn't her new Festive Frame gorgeous!!! I made a couple of samples for your pleasure....the first one was stamped on Night of Navy with Versamark and embossed with silver ep. The poinsettias were stamped on white dp with Versamark and embossed with silver ep three times. The flowers were all cutout, colored lightly with copics, attached with dimensionals, dusted with glitter, and silver pearls were attached to the centers. The inner oval was cutout of the Night of Navy frame. The sentiment from the same set was stamped on a piece of light blue dp with Night of Navy. It was attached to a piece of Bashful Blue cs that extended beyond the frame layer. Then the frame was attached to the background layer with foam tape. Silk May Arts ribbon was tied around the side of the elevated top layer and little silver pearls finishes it off.

Happy Monday!!

You will have to forgive me the wonky title to my post....it's almost 2AM and my brain won't thing up anything catchy!!!! I have been catching up on my bluffering today and then at almost 2 in the morning I decide to do a blog post....I must be loosing my mind...LOL!!!!
I was playing around this weekend with my new Rubbernecker stamp set called Snowflakes and Stardust and came up with this design...It was supposed to look like a wreath but after looking at in again, it looks more like an ornament...oh well!!! The set has several different sizes and shapes of snowflakes...I just stamped them in a circle and stamped the sentiment in the center. Snowflakes were also stamped on the background patterned paper and the Spellbinders Snowflakes were sponged and covered with glitter. Ribbon and buttons finishes it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Snowflakes and Stardust
Paper: White, Cool Caribbean , Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Grey dp
Ink: Old Olive, Regal Rose, Ruby Red, Rich Razzleberry, Cool Caribbean,
Accessories: Glitter, Buttons, Nestabilities, Ribbon, Dimensionals

The Featured Stamper today on Splitcoast is Rachel (Rachelhope13). I have been to Rachel's gallery several times and just love her style...sooo many lovely cards to choose from!!! I decided to case her adorable Hot Stuff card because I have a DGS who will be having a birthday soon and I need a masculine card. I kept the same masculine feel, layout and colors but changed the stamps, shape of card, and used a cowboy instead of a fireman. The Clear Dollar Stamp's Howdy Partner cowboy image was colored with copics and the cowboy hat was popped up for a little dimension. The ribbon, paisley images, and silver pearls finish it off.

Recipe:
Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps Howdy Partner
Paper: Real Red, White, Brilliant Blue, Summer Sun, The Paper Studio dp, Stampin Up! dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Silver Pearls, Corner Punch, Ribbon, Copics
Thanks for visiting today....have a great Monday!!!!

Hello everyone and I hope you are enjoying this beautiful day!!! Can you believe Halloween is next week.....we already bought our candy which was a big mistake!!! I have eaten a whole sack by myself....yikes!!!! Somebody STOP me!!!! I will have to walk for 3 days straight to work off all those calories!!! Anyway....

I have been playing with my new Rubbernecker Snowflakes and Stardust Set #481 stamps this morning and this is what I came up with. The tree and snowflake swirls along with all the single snowflakes were stamped with Ranger Distress Embossing Ink and embossed with clear ep. Ranger Distress Inks Broken China and Pealed Paint were sponged over the embossed images and spritzed with Perfect Pearl colored Perfect Pearls and water. The tree image was cutout of the middle with an oval Nestabilities and layered with Taken With Teal. The layers were then attached over the remaining piece with dimensionals and silver pearls were attached to the snowflake centers. May Arts Ribbon and the sentiment from the same set finish it off.

Recipe:
Stamps: Rubbernecker Snowflakes and Stardust set #481
Paper: White, Taken With Teal, Old Olive

The Limited Supply Challenge on Splitcoast today was hosted by Jeanne (Jeanne S) and her challenge to us was to make a girly girl card without patterned paper. Hey Jeanne...what's up with the no patterned paper????? Jezzzzz....In that case I'll just show a little white!!! The adorable little cowgirl from Clear Dollar Stamps Howdy Partner was colored with copics and used the colors from the Color Throwdown Challenge: Certainly Celery, Purley Ponegranate, and Taken With Teal. My copics didn't match perfectly but they were close. This is also for Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply challenge to make a square card with square corners on all the layers.

I added a dot from a gel pen on her cheeks and the twill ribbon, flower, button, and twine finish it off.

Recipe:

I made this card yesterday for the Ways to Use it Challenge to find ways to use patches/patchwork.

This was a fun challenge and since I couldn't find any patchwork stamps, I created a patchwork background and added faux stitching...I shoulda just pulled out the sewing machine because this took quite a while to complete!!! The JustRite Christmas Treasures image was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with copics. Flower Soft Polor White and glitter were added for a little glam. The corners with silver pearls, ribbon, and button with silver cording finish it off.

Tuesday Mojo

Hello everyone!! I did some serious stamping the last couple of days....I'm on a creative roll!!! I had some catching up to do and some new projects to start...my craft room looks like a tornado hit it!!!
I made this today for the Color Challenge on Splitcoast. Betty challenged us to use Bravo Burgundy, Cameo Coral, Vanilla, and Always Artichoke was optional.
The Clear Dollar Stamps Rock On guitar images were stamped twice with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with copics. One set was cutout and popped up with dimensionals. Shadow guitars were stamped with Cameo Coral in the background for some added depth and the edges were sponged with Cameo Coral. The background layers are pieces of scrap dp...I sewed around the burgundy layer, added the ribbon, flourish, and sentiment.
Recipe:
Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps Rock On
Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Cameo Coral, Designer Paper, Vanilla
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Cameo Coral
Accessories: Flourish Punch, Ribbon, Dimensionals, Sewing Machine, SU Oval Punches

I finally got caught up on my Double Dog Dare Challenges...the coffin is Julia's (artystamper)challenge from last week and this week Joanne (sleepyinseattle) sent us some fun Halloween goodies (thanks, Joanne!!!) to use for Joanne's DDC challenge to make a Halloween Card. The template for the coffin can be found in the DDC thread in the challenge forum message #40. Be sure to add DDC to the keywords section when you upload so we can find your project!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: none
Paper: White, Pumpkin Pie, Black, SU dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Die Cuts, Ribbon, Preprinted Frame, SU Oval Punches, Googlie Eyes

The October Dirty Dozen/Dirty Dozen Alumni challenge was hosted by Jodi (Kharmagirl)....she challenged us to make a card/project with paper piecing, and in Christmas or Fall Colors. Well, last night when I read the challenge, I failed to read that the project needed to be done in fall or Christmas colors. But alas....my project has green and purple, which are Halloween colors and blue, which is a snowflake color sooooo...maybe this will pass!!!!
The sweet little Sarah Kay image reminds me of Holly Hobbies without the hat!! She was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and paper pieced with Basic Grey's Wisteria. The hair, skin, and the highchair were colored with Copics. The background papers were also from the Wisteria 6x6 pad and ribbon, button, prima, and twine finished it off.
This reminds me of my DD when she was a little girl...she loved her babies and used to love Holly Hobbies so I took a little ride down memory lane with this challenge!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Sarah Kay
Paper: Basic Grey Wisteria, White, Prism Iced Mint
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Ribbon, Button, Twine, Flower, Spellbinders Frame die, Top Note, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by tonight....hope to have more goodies for you tomorrow!!!

Christmas Greetings

Hello everyone...hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!!!
I made a card for the Featured Stamper Challenge today on Splitcoast. The featured stamper is none other than Riley (DancerRiley) and oh my, what a fabulous gallery!!!! After cruzing Riley's gallery for quite a while, I went back to page one and her beautiful Holiday Greetings card. I kept the same Christmas theme, the three ornaments, and the same colors. I changed the stamps, layout, and instead of bows, I added snowflakes.
This is also for the Basic Grey Challenge to use red, blue, and green on a card. The sketch I used is from the Sweet Stop Sketch #26 challenge blog. The twist for this challenge is to use something recycled. I pulled the snowflakes off another card so they are used and slightly abused!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Hero Arts
Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Old Olive, Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses dp
Ink: Bravo Burgundy
Accessories: Felt Snowflakes, Candy Dots, Ribbon, Nestabilities, Dimensionals
Thanks so much for visiting today...now I'm off to make a few more cards before DH gets home!!!
