Color Throwdown Challenge #337
Hello everyone...hope you are having a great week!!! It's hump day so it's down hill to the weekend...yay!!! Yesterday we celebrated my Mother's 95th birthday with cake and ice cream....she got lots of flowers so guess who will be digging in the dirt later today...LOL!!! It was in the 80's yesterday and I'm sure today will be the same...I better get out my summer clothes and put away the sweatshirts!! Anyway...It's Wednesday and that means it's time for this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge!!! Barbara is our hostess and she has picked some warm, pretty colors...Kraft, lt. Blue, Green, and Orange. They are perfect colors for a summery birthday card for one of my Grands!!
My card features several Taylored Expressions stamp sets: Sunshiny Day for the bird, If Dogs Could Talk Stamp and Die Combo for the pup, and Paw-some Stamp and Die Combo for the sentiment.
The background Salt Water Taffy cardstock was embossed with the Cloudy Days Embossing Folder....both the images and sentiment were stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa. The images were colored with Copics and popped up with foam dots. The Little Bits - Flowers and Stems dies were used for the flower and the Wispy Grass Border die was used to cut out the grass. A little sewing, enamel dots, and rounded corner finish it off.
Remember, be sure to add CTD337 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your cretions!! Also, please use #ctd337 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.
You will find all the challenge details on the Color Throwdown Blog.

Taylored Expressions April Sneak Peeks: Sack It - Dress For Success and Pockets and Pages Stitched Essentials
Hello everyone and welcome to day two of the Taylored Expressions April Sneak peeks!!! Yesterday I showed you lots of new baby stamps, dies, and papers...today I have switched gears to graduation projects and some new Pockets and Pages scrapbooking goodies!!
Remember...

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.
My first project is a fun graduation gift set...it includes a gift bag featuring the new Sack It - Dress For Success and a gift card.
The Sack It - Dress For Success die set includes dies for both masculine and feminine...I used the tie die and the graduation gown dies. The Sack It To You base and tie were cut out of Oreo cardstock, the collar was cut out of
Silver Metallic and a golded yellow colored cardstock.
The cardbase was cut with the previously released Bracket Notecard die out of Oreo cardstock...the golded yellow cardstock was used again as one of the background layers as was Sugar Cube cardstock. The previously released Grad Cap set of 3 die set was used for the cap and a black tassel was adhered to the top of the cap....
the sentiments are from the new Sky High Sentiments set.
I have had these pictures of a little fishing outing on our farm for years and finally pulled them out...the new Pockets and Pages Stitched Essentials die set was used along with a couple previously released dies.
The new Cloud Stacklets were used for the clouds, the sentiment banners are part of the new Pockets and Pages Stitched Essentials set, the date was created with the Just a Number dies, and the fish images are from the new Mama and Me stamp set.
The previously released Mini Caps Alpha and #'s dies were used for the names and the *fun* script is from the previously released Pockets and Pages June Script set.
The banner at the top was cut with one of the PandP Stitched Essentials dies as were the arrows below.
BTW...Terry caught the first fish!!
My hubs, George, is enjoying the peace and quite of fishing in the farm tank...there is nothing better than a fun day of fishing with good friends!!
Thanks for visiting!! If you'd like to see more projects and new product information, please head over to the TE Blog for a complete blog roll of our participating designers! The Taylored Expressions April Release is Thursday, April 9th at 7:00 AM PST (9:00 CST)
