Taylored Expressions June Sneak Peeks: Pockets and Pages and Doodle Borders


Hello everyone and welcome to day two of the Taylored Expressions June Sneak Peeks!! Weren't all the projects you saw yesterday absolutely fabulous!!!! Believe me, today you are going to be blown away....wait till you see all the new goodies and wonderful projects for today!!! Remember, the  Taylored Expressions June Release will be Thursday, June 5th and 7:00 AM PST!!!! Okdoky... now, on with the show.....

Today we are showcasing all the new Pockets and Pages dies.....I have used several on my project today. Last summer my Grands loved to go bowling  so I took lots of pictures....I love the step by step shots!!!  

The first  pocket features script dies cut from ballet blue, lavender lace, and mint melody card stock with the P&P July Script die set and the P&P June Script die set. I picked up the colors from the bowling alley for the card stock colors and left the background colors neutral so the script diecuts would pop. The P&P Fab Frames Summer die was also used to cut the Choice Kraft card stock in the 1st pocket. The second pocket also features a P&P July Script die along with a P&P Insta Square and the previously released Sweet and Simple #'s. 


The Pockets and Pages 3x4 Circle Showcase in the third pocket was used for journaling...the & is a stamp from the new Little Bits of Summer set. The fourth pocket features The Memories Square die from the Pockets and Pages Fab Frames Summer set....it  was cut out of Choice Kraft. The Fun die from the Pockets and Pages June Script set was cut out of ballet blue and the Camera from the Pockets and Pages Insta Squares set was cut out with ballet blue, barely banana, and lavender lace . 



Arrows from the Pockets and Pages Essentials - 2x2 die set were used to cut the arrows from the iced orange card stock.


A corner rounder punch was used on all the corners....




and a P&P Journaling pen was used for the the journaling.



The Grands had a great time and were able to show me a few bowling tricks!!!


My next project features the new Taylored Expressions Doodle  Borders stamp set....I used three borders from the set of seven to showcase today. 


The doodle stamp and the bicycle and sentiment from the previously released Taylored Expressions Bikes and Tikes set were all stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black...the red hearts and arrow were colored with a Copic marker and enamel dots were added to the wheels. The Baker's Twine is the finishing touch.  


The green card was created with the same stamps and papers....after the arrow border was stamped, it was colored with Copics....enamel hearts and Baker's Twine finish it off. 


The orange and lavender border was also colored with Copics and the scattered enamel dots and twine were added. All the sentiments are from the Bikes and Trikes set.

Taylored Expressions June Sneak Peeks: Big Bold Summer and Beach Ball


Hello everyone and welcome to day one of the Taylored Expressions June Sneak Peeks...this month we have a huge release with so many wonderful stamp sets and dies...wait till you see all the goodies!!!! The June release goes live Thursday morning at 7:00 AM PST!! Now....on with the show!!!

My first card features the Salt is in the Air stamp from the new Big Bold Summer set. It was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa on the brayered sky. The sand was brayered with Crumb Cake and the palms, chair, and sand castle were all stamped with the rich cocoa. 

The palms and sand castle were colored with Copics.... the Little Bits- Sun and Beach Umbrella were paper pieced as was the chair. The Little Bits Clouds finish it off. 



The cute Little Bits Beach Ball die was featured in my next project..... I decided to show how it could be used for something besides a beachy scene.  

The elephant and lion from the new Taylored Expressions Hippo Birdy set were all paper pieced with papers from Bundle of Joy Dots and Stripes 6x6 paper pad and Cupids Arrow 6x6 paper pad.




The beach balls were all diecut from patterned paper using the Little Bits Beach Ball dies and then popped up on foam dots. 



The monkey was colored with Copics and the card base was made with the Taylored Expressions Bracket Notecard die....the twine finishes it off.

TLC484 Yummy Birthday!!


Hello everyone!!! It's my turn to host the Technique Challenge on Splitcoast and boy, have I got an easy one for you today!!!! We are going to Fill in the background with border diecuts!! 

 Here are the deets:

 1. Use one or more border dies or punches to cut several diecuts.
     You can use cardstock or patterned paper.
     You can use one color or several different colors.
     You can use only one border die or several different ones.
2. Overlap the diecuts on you background so you don't see any of the background (You can use them horizontally, vertically, or at an angle)
3. After you are satisfied with your design, adhere the diecuts to the background.

 A little tip: Add a couple strips of double sided tape to the background before you lay out your borders...if you glue them down before you finish your design, it's too late to change your mind or fix one that is a little crocked. When you are finished playing, lift the edges and add a little glue. 

 My card features the little ice cream cone and popsicle stamps from My Cute Stamps You're Sweet set....they were colored with Copics, cutout, and popped  up over the scalloped background with foam dots. Several different pastel colored scraps of card stock were used for the scalloped background and the twine and PTI sentiment finish it off.
