Taylored Expressions January Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to the Taylored Expressions January Stamp of the Month Hop!!! The Baker's Dozen DT is teaming up with the Key Ingredients DT to showcase the January SOTM called Kiss Me, the coordinating dies called Love M'stache, and the January Key Ingredients Kit which contains patterned papers from Crate Paper's Love Notes collection, card stock,  and some beautiful ribbons!!

The Stamp of the Month and the Key Ingredients Kit are monthly subscriptions with three options. You can read all about it here in the Kit Department of the Taylored Expressions Store.

Here is the Delux Kit that includes both the January SOTM and the KI kit

Here are the SOTM coordinating dies called Love M'stache (sold separately)

My card features the curly mustache die from the Love M'stache die set. It was cut out of Choice Black card stock and popped up with foam tape in between the two sentiments that were stamped with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. The hearts were stamped on the red card stock also with Versamark and embossed with white ep, cutout, and adhered under the corner of the sentiment layer. The Lace Chain Border die was used to cutout a piece of  patterned paper andit was adhered to the bottom of the background. A piece of red satin ribbon was added above the diecut border.

The doily from the same die set was cutout of pink card stock, adhered under the sentiment and the button with twine and the background sewing finish it off.

I had all these beautiful papers from the January KI kit sitting on my counter after making my first card so I just had to make another card!!!! This one features the XO stamp, the little heart stamp, and  the fun sentiment all from the January SOTM stamp set, and the lips die from the SOTM die set.

The banners were all cutout by hand and adhered under the band layer that was stitched with the sewing machine. Aren't those lips fun....I'll be using that die a lot for more fun Valentines !!!!

How about a little inspiration from the KI and Baker's Dozen DT's...I can't wait to see what they created with these super fun stamps and dies!!!!

Thanks for stopping by today...I hope you have fun on the hop and find lots of inspiration!!!

True Friend

Hello everyone!! I hope you are having a wonderful morning...I am still in my pj's and have been playing in the craft room all morning!!!! The dishes are still sitting in the sink and the Christmas decorations in various stages of breakdown are scattered all over the house but I chose to ignore all that ...yea me!!!! I'll feel guilty later...LOL!!!!

I made a card for Wendy's Free 4 all challenge on Splitcoast to Pay It Forward...make a card for a friend and send it off today. I made this card for a friend who has been going through a rough time lately so this challenge hit the spot!!! This is also for PTI's Make It Monday challenge ....the project must use at least one Papertrey product and mulit-layered images from a simple stamp..

The medallion stamp from the Simple Little Things set was first stamped with Coastal Cabana. Then the same stamp was stamped with Old Olive and Coastal Cabana on scrap white card stock, the layers were cutout, and adhered to the base medallion with dimensionals and glue dots. Pearls were added to the centers. This is very CAS but I think it will work.

Well, friends...I guess I better mend my wicked ways and get to work!!! Have a wonderful weekend and try to do something fun!!!!

Taylored Expressions January Release Day: Marley and Dies Galore!!

Hello everyone and welcome to the Taylored Expressions January Release Day....Woot!!!! Today all the fabulous stamps and dies are for sale in the New Section of the Taylored Expressions Store!!!!!

Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays because it's so full of love, happiness, and chocolate!!!!! Check out the Valentines I made today.....

Our son, David, and his wife, Stacy, have two Basset hounds  so I made then a Valentine from our dog, Pumpkin, with the Marley set....I know Marley is a Dachshund but we will pretend he is a Bassett for today...LOL!!!

He was colored with Copics and cutout with the Marley coordinating die....he was popped up over the washi tape and the little paw from the same set was stamped with Memento Lady Bug. The sentiment was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and the hemp cording and enamel shapes finish it off.

My second Valentine features several new Taylored Expressions dies to include the Heart Stacklets, Tag Stacklets 2 dies, Tag Reinforcements,  the 3x4 Pocket - XOXO and the Love Makes The World Go Round Stamp set was used for the sentiment.

The Tag Stacklets 2 was used to cut out the beautiful MME Heirloom papers. The Tag Reinforcements die was used over the hole and then the twine was added. The hearts were cut out with the  Heart Stacklets dies and the XOXO Pocket Die was cut out of dark red cardstock and adhered over the tag and doily. The sentiment is from the Love Makes The World Go Round set  and the small wood heart and arrow  finish it off.

Now, how about a little inspiration from the Baker's Dozen...I can't wait to see what they have created today!!!!

Taylored Expressions January Sneak Peeks: Super Suckers Valentines

Hello everyone and welcome to day 3 of the Taylored Expressions January Sneak Peeks....the January release is tomorrow at 9:00 AM CST!!!!! This is such a fabulous release....so many awesome stamp sets and dies!!! Wait till you see what the Baker's Dozen has for you today but first....I have some super cuteness to share!!!!!

Every year I make Valentines for my Grands and the new Taylored Expressions Super Sucker's stamp set and matching dies made it sooo easy!!! Aren't these little Super Heroes adorable!!!! Originally, the cape diecut was designed to fit on a sucker and the mask goes around the sucker...hence the name Super Suckers. However, since I am so right brained, I saw something different. Two cape diecuts were cutout of the same card stock and tied together with twine to form the card.

The mask with a white liner was adhered to the front and the eyes were drawn on with a pen. The Super Sucker stamps were all stamped with various colors of ink, cutout with one of the coordinating dies and popped up on the heart that was cutout with a Heart Stacklets die. The sentiments on the inside are from the Super Suckers set and the new A Lovely View set and were stamped on a circle that was cut out with the snout die from the Sack It - Pig die set

Valentines Day wouldn't be complete without candy so little white bags were filled with lots of chocolate goodness and heart stickers decorate the outside. The little Super Sucker Hero's fit right over the edge of the bag and TaDaa!!! My Valentine's are completed!!! Now, hopefully, I won't eat all the candy before February...LOL!!!

Here is a picture of the girl valentines....

Here are the boys. My youngest grandson, Jacob, loves Bat Man so can you guess which one has his name all over it??

Now,  how about a little inspiration from the Baker's Dozen Design Team....they have some fabulous projects to share with you today!!!!

Thanks for visiting today and remember...the release is tomorrow at 9:00 AM CST!!!!! All the new goodies will be ready and waiting to go home with you then!!!

Color Throwdown Challenge #274

Hello everyone....welcome to this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge! Vickie is the hostess with the mostess and she has picked some really pretty, crisp, and fresh colors for us to play with!!! Barbara redesigned our color swatch, too...doesn't it look awesome!!!

My card features the cute guitar stamp from Unity's October 2009 Kit of the Month. My New Year's resolution this year is to use as many of my older stamps as I can...they all need a little love!!! The guitar was colored with Copics, cutout, and popped up on the round layer. The sentiment stamp is from Reverse Confetti's Celebrate Cake set and the sketch is the Sweet Sunday Sketch #201. The button, hemp cording, and sequins finish it off.

Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors.....use what you have as long as they are close to the challenge colors and be sure to add CTD274 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!!

You can find out all the challenge details on the Color Throwdown Blog.
