Spooky Thursday!!


Hello everyone!!! Halloween is just around the corner so I have been busy making cards for all my Grands and their friends, too!!  I went a little crazy buying Halloween washi tape so I decided to use it up!!! The Doodlebug Washi Tape was used on all the cards shown today.....The image from Taylored Expressions A Spooky View was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. 


The Bracket Notecard die was used to cut the black layer, then it was trimmed to fit along the side as a mat for the picture....I love it when a die has several different uses!!!!
The sentiment is from the Halloween Doodles set from Taylored Expressions and the raven diecut from TE's Gothic Window Accessories Dies  and the twine finish it off. 


I also made a couple of little Halloween cards using the Bracket Notecard Die to cut the card base.  The wreath from Taylored Expressions Spooky Wreath set was stamped on pumpkin pie card stock and cutout with the Seasonal Wreath Die. The wreaths were adhered to the card base with foam tape and the washi tape and twine finish them off.

Color Throwdown Challenge #259


Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge!!!! Don't you just love the beautiful Fall colors that Melody chose for our challenge....as far as I'm concerned, Fall can get here as soon  as possible!!!! I am sooo tired of the 100 degree weather.....I dream of 70-80 degree days...LOL!!!  Anyway...


My card today features the sweet little Fall wreath from Taylored Expressions Autumn Wreath set and the circle graphic from the Taylored Expressions September Stamp of the Month Sending Smiles.  The wreath was colored with Copics on Choice Buttercream card stock and it was cutout with the Seasonal Wreath die.  It was adhered to the background Doodlebug Happy Harvest designer paper with foam tape and twine was looped around the wreath and tucked behind the paper to look like it's hanging from the twine.  The circle graphics stamp was stamped with really rust ink onto the crumb cake card base, the sentiment was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa, and the twine, button, and distressing finish it off. 


Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors....use what you have as long as they are close to the challenge colors and be sure to add CTD259 to the keywords section when you upload your card to an online gallery so we can find your work!!!

As we continue the month-long Birthday Bash at Taylored Expressions, we have some fun birthday  gifts to give.  Each of the designers in today's hop will be giving away the card they are showcasing to one lucky reader!!!!  If you like the card I've made for today, simply leave a comment here on my blog before 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12th and you'll be entered into a drawing to win it.  Winners will be announced on the TE blog on Friday morning.


The flower and leaf stamp was stamped several times on the right side of the card with Memento London Fog. The leaves were all watercolored with Pistachio Pudding and Coastal Cabana using an Aqua Pen. The same stamp was stamped on  a piece of Choice Snow White card stock and colored with Copics. The flowers were adhered to the card base and then the top panel made with papers from the September Key Ingredients Kit, twine and a button, was adhered over the flowers. Two water colored leaves were popped up and curled out for a little dimension. The sentiment from the same set was stamped with Memento London Fog.

Taylored Expressions September Spotlights:From Me To You and Bloomin Stacklets 1


Hello everyone...today is the Taylored Expressions Spotlight Day and the final day of release week, however, the Birthday Bash will continue all month long with something special each week in September.  The tag was created with the Birthday Treat Topper Die and the Bloomin' Stacklets 1 dies. It's tied to the bag with Baker's Twine.
