New Goodies from CHA

Hello everyone!! I am finally back fron CHA ...we arrived Wednesday night and Bev's wonderful hubby, Ron, not only picked us up at the airport but had supper waiting for us when we got back to their house!!! My DH was there to pick me up so he got fed, too!!! George and I got back to Temple around 9:30 PM and went right to my parents to help them celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary!! They were having a little celebration with friends from Iowa.
Anyway...I wanted to share some pics of new products. I walked around looking at all the fabo new stuff with my jaw on the floor drooling all over myself....OMG!!!!!

This is a project I found at the Maya Roads booth...such awesome new chipboard and just look at this beautiful album!!!

My favorite booth was the Graphic 45 booth...such gorgeous projects!!! This old bird cage was decorated with beautiful cards and paper was weaved through the slats.

Hello From CHA!!

Have you missed seeing me in blogland??? Bev Gerard (TexasGrammy), Pam Hooten (Iris), and I left for CHA last Thursday. We had an interesting thing happen to us: our connecting flight in Phoenix was cancelled due to weather so we had to stay over night and missed the opening of CHA. Oh well...at least we made it and today Bev and I went to Disnayland....Mickey was leading the band around the square in the above picture!

Looks like Bev has two new friends!!!

We are having such a good time...I have met sooo many friends!!! These are the Texas girls...Bev Gerard (TexasGrammy), me, Jeanne Streiff (Jeanne S), and Carolyn King (Cammie).

This was taken at the Eclectic Paperie party on Saturday night...Michelle Fischer (sdiegogal), Bev Gerard (Texasgrammy), Pam Hooten (Iris), and me.

Whoohoo!!! I finally got to meet Tosh Leyendekker (Stamps4funinCa) and Michelle Rodgers (Lady2cu) owner of Stamper's Dream. I looked for those two ladies all day...guess where we finally met.... In the bathroom!!!! tooo funny!!!

Bev and I found sweet little Anne Harada (Itsapassion) .....another Texas gal!!!!

I finally met Dawn Easton (TreasureOiler)...we have been blogging friends for quite a while and we were on the DirtyDozen team togehter.

I finally got to meet two of my Clear Dollar Stamps DT members, Nancy Grant (inkcicles) and Katie Renz...aren't they cute!!!

We met up with Jenn Balcer at the Splitcoast booth and I got to meet Harriet (hskelly), one of my SCS challenge chasers!!! Bev, Broni (waterchild12), and I were at the EK Success booth taking a class when in walks Julie Ebrsole (JulieHRR)...what a cutie pie!!!

We found Karen Hunsaker (Imastampin) working in the Spellbinders booth....she is one of the new Rubbernecker DT members and I was really excited to meet her!!!

It's now midnight California time which means my body still thinks it's 2:00 AM...yikes!!! I'm off to bed...we still have one more day at CHA tomorrow and then it's home on Wednesday. I will have some product pictures for maybe Wednesday night .....the new Nesties for one!! Thanks for stopping by!!!

The sweet little love image from Happy Hearts was stamped with Ruby Red and cutout with the smallest scalloped heart Nestabilities. The hearts were all layered and popped up with dimensionals. The background was created by punching squares of My Minds Eye dp. The glitter flourish, ribbon , and the heart stick pin finish it off.

The flower and vase image from the Purrr-fectly Delightful stamp set were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. The large flower was stamped twice and popped up with foam tape. Barely Banana ink was sponged around the flowers and glitter was added to the flower centers for a little glam. The sentiment from the same set, Spellbinders border, button with twine, and the wood flourish finish it off.

Creative Belli Challenge #83

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Creative Belli Challenge!!! Today's challenge is to use hearts. You can make a Valentine, anniversary card, or a little love note using stamps, stickers, chipboard, etc...what ever strikes your fancy!!

I stamped the Rubbernecker heart image with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with copics. The background paper is from Fancy Pants and I did a little fancy sewing around the edges. My sewing machine has been acting up and skipped a few stitches so don't look tooo close!!

Can you believe I'm making CAS cards???

The CAS challenge on Splitcoast today is a color challenge: use teal, white, and one other color of our choice..... Chocolate Chip was my choice. I dug out my Taken With Teal and Chocolate Chip scraps and went to work on this thank you card for a friend. The little coffee cups from Rubbernecker's Coffeetime Set #458 were stamped with Taken With Teal and colored with a brown Copic. The background TWT layer was run through the cuttlebug with the Dotted Swiss folder and the SU scallop punch was used on the botton edge. Ribbon and doodling finish it off. I usually jazz my cards up a bit so keeping this a CAS design was a real challenge!!!

I made this little gift set of 3x3 cards for the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast Saturday. Stef picked a wonderful site called Nell Hill's..... I found my inspiration from these beautiful Floral Prints. The images from 2 different Rubbernecker Floral sets and the Rubbernecker Wildflower background stamp were used along with Chocolate Chip, Ballet Blue, and Sage Shadow markers. Pretty simple but perfect to fit into a little gift bag.

Saturday Morning Make Up!

Good morning everyone!!! I am having a real lazy day today.....still in my jammies and it's after 10:00 AM!!! I am trying to put away Christmas stuff and packing for CHA...WOOT!! I left my Christmas decorations up so we could have a Christmas celebration while my Sister and her DH were here last week but the party is over and now it's time to clean up...wish I had a good fairy who likes to clean and organize!!! Anyway.....
I have several projects that I made for SCS challenges that I didn't have time to post so here goes...
The Limited Supply Challenge yesterday was to make a small card and a treat. The polka dot paper from Three Bugs in a Rug was used to cover the tin and red polka dot ribbon was tied around the lid edge. Nesties hearts and heart brads were added to the top and the little ladybugs image from Clear Dollar Stamps Loving Ladybugs set were colored with copics and popped up on the heart. Another image from the same set was used on the 3" card...colored with copics and ribbon and a heart stick pin finish it off. BTW, the little heart stick pin was a gift from my friend, Michelle Rodgers from Stamper's Dream...thanks you sweet thang!!!

The Ways to Use it challenge on Thursday, January 7, was to use something new...new embellies, stamps, paper, etc. These adorable stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps Toybox Time were new from their January release. The images were colored with Copics and I drew the curvy line from the toy dog's nose around the sentiment. I also added some lace I got the other day at Hobby Lobby.

I made this card for the Sketch Challenge on January 6th......I used a Ridley image from the adorable Lovin' Ridley and Rosie stamp set illustrated by Wendy Hall for Clear Dollar Stamps . Ridley was colored with copics and layered on the beautiful Farm Fresh patterned paper. A button with twine and ribbon finish it off. I already added a Happy Birthday sentiment and sent it off to a friend who is having a special birthday in a week or two.

I made this card on Monday, January 4, for the CAS Challenge to make a Valentine and the Technique Challenge to do paper quilting. The adorable Ridley image from the Lovin' Ridley and Rosie set designed by Wendy Hall for Clear Dollar Stamps was colored with Copics and glitter was added to the wings. Can you believe I didn't even add ribbon, buttons, or brads...yikes!!!

Clearly Inspired Challenge #5

Good morning everyone and welcome to the Clearly Inspired Challenge on Lori McCroskey's blog..... today we have a sketch challenge for your stamping pleasure!!!

I decided to flip the sketch so I could use my little Rosie image from the Lovin Ridley & Rosie set illustrated by Wendy Hall and licensed by Clear Dollar Stamps.

Rosie was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa, colored with Copics, and her dress was paper pieced with the plaid dp I used in the background. Sorry, but I don't know the name of the paper...it was in a package of unmarked paper pieces. The ribbon, wood flourish, flower, button, twine, and the punched leaves finish it off.

Use Clear Dollar Stamps if you have them, if not, please play anyway....we would love to see your designs!!! A random winner will be chosen the following Thursday. Upload your cards to Mr. Linky on Lori's blog and if you upload to Splitcoast, use CIC5 in the keywords.

The sweet little houses image from Gina K's Let It Snow set was stamped on Gina K's Pure Luxury White and colored with copics. Glitter was added to the snowy roofs , smoke, and the snowflakes from the same set were stamped in the sky area with Cool Caribbean. White Mulberry paper was torn in assorted sized strips and glued to the bottom half to cover the snow area at the bottom. The paper was then run through the top note die, trimmed around the perforated edge, and layered it on a piece of Pure Luxury Chocolate Kiss that was cut out with the top note die, also. The sentiment was stamped, cutout with Nestabilities, and attached with foam tape.
The snowman from the same set was also colored with copics, cut out, popped up with foam tape and pearls were added to the button areas. The background scalloped layer was run through the Dotted Swiss Cuttlebug folder and the ribbon finished it off.

This was a fun and quick card to make....the Pure Luxury Passionate Pink cardstock was stamped with the snowflakes from Rupa Shevde's The Magic of Christmas set. The sentiment was from Gina K's Let it Snow set. The mitten paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Jolly by Golly and the ribbon, button, twine, and snowflake finish it off.

Happy Mojo Color Teapot Tuesday Challenges!!

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday!! I stayed up late last night to make this card so I am dragging a little this morning. It's a good thing I don't have to go anywhere!!
I made this card for the Color Challenge on Splitcoast...Pretty in Pink, Rich Razzleverry, and Chocolate Chip.
This is also for the Mojo 121 Sketch Challenge and da Mudder's Teapot Tuesday Challenge. It seems we are going to Hampton Hills, NH to find out who the Bad Apple is who keeps puttin Annie on her Fannie!!! It's happening in an apple orchard and poor little Annie Mae Appleseed who is a professional apple picker has developed a new Technique to pick 42,000 apples in 1 hour...yikes!!! The Bad Seed throws apples at her till she falls down...we gotta find out who is tossin those apples...hummmmm...Charlene...where is Bertie?????
I used the adorable Twinkle Tots Lottie image from the Greeting Farm...colored her with copics and added the ribbon, scallops, flower, button, and twine.

This card was made yesterday for the CAS challenge on Splitcoast to cut it out!! Cut out any paper elements/designs to attach to your card. I combined this with the DDC challenge. Charlene (LilluvsStampin) was the hostess for the DDC challenge last week and she dared us to make a grid background. I scored my background and then stamped over it with the Rubbernecker Victorian Diamond Panel background image....gives it a little dimension. If you want to play along, please add DDC to the keyword section of your upload. You can find the DDC challenges in the challenge forum here on SCS. The Stamp Oasis hearts, sentiment, and lace were stamped on white with Rich Razzleberry. Silver pearls were added to the flower centers on the hearts and on the tips of the lace.
I'll tell ya a little secret. I had to stamp the grid on the inside of the card so I had a guide to scor by. Then I stamped the image on the front trying to line up the scoring and the stamped image...it's a little off center but I thought it looked kinda dimensional. I was hoping everyone would think I planned it that way...LOL!!

New from Gina K.- Valentines Galore!!!

Hello everyone...hope you are having a wonderful Saturday!!! My sister, Kathy, and her husband, Scott are visiting this week from Iowa. They were expecting to bask in the sun...not!!! Since we were below the 20 degree mark this morning they felt like they never left home...LOL!!! Anyway.....enought whining about the weather!!!

I wanted to share the cards I made for Gina K's January Release Party on Splitcoast. The above two were made with images from Sung from the Heart illustrated by Rupa Shevde for Gina K. Designs. They feature Gina K's Pure Luxury Wine With Everything (new this month) and Chocoalte Kiss cardstock. My Minds Eye patterned paper, doilies, ribbon, with some silver pearls finish them off.

This card was designed using Happy Hearts illustrated by Tami Mayberry for Gina K. Designs and two Gina K's Pure Luxury cardstock colors called Innocent Pink (new this month) and Chocolate Kiss. The patterned paper is from SEI's Jolie Chocolat collection.

This card features the adorable umbrella image from Sung from the Heart. Two of Gina K's new Pure Luxury cardstocks were used...Lipstick Red and Passionate Pink. The patterned paper and glitter paper are from Doodlebug and the button, ribbon, and scallops finish it off.

The string of hearts image from Sung from the Heart was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with copics. Silver pearls were added for the glam factor and the lace and twill finish it off.

I thought I would make a welcome card for all the new RHM's...sorry, ladies, you will havta share!!!

The image is from the Floral Silhouettes set #467. It was stamped with Chocolate Chip onto vanilla cs and sponged with Pretty in Pink. Pink rhinestones were added for the glam factor!!

The Regal Rose background layer was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and the paper is Basic Grey. Lace and ribbon finish it off.
