TLC441 Happy Birthday

Hello everyone!!! I hope you had a great weekend...we didn't do a whole lot. It's been too hot outside to do much of anything...the dog doesn't even want to go outside to do his business...LOL!!! I am sooo ready for fall!!!! Our garden is still producing despite the heat...my hubs picked several cantaloupe, cucumbers, okra, tomatoes, green peppers, and another watermelon but it wasn't ripe. He counted over 40 of the little green fellas that will be ready to eat in another week or so....yikes!! I better have a lotta friends who like watermelon...LOL!!! Anyway....

It's my turn to host the Technique Lover's Challenge on Splitcoast and I have another challenge using sentiments. Larger sentiment stamps are so trendy now, however, I don't have very many of them, sooooo...we are going to make one of our own by using a bunch of smaller sentiments. The challenge is called  Mix Up the Sentiments!! Here are the deets:

1. Look through your stamp sets and pick out several sentiments that have a similar theme.
2. Pick out several different ink colors
3.Lay out your stamps on your paper to create the pattern you want...place some of  them horizantal, vertical, or diagonal...what ever works for your design
4. Stamp the sentiments to create a large focal sentiment, trim the layer, and create your card.

My card features sentiments, a cup cake, and a background design stamp from three different
Reverse Confetti Stamp Sets: Whole Lotta Dots, Celebrate Cake, and Peacock Pretties. The sentiments were all stamped with Certainly Celery, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Strawberry Slush. The arrow dies are from MFT's and the twine is the finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by...I hope you can find a little time this week to join us for this weeks TLC challenge!!!!
