Hooray...We Got Rain!!!

Good morning everyone...this is such a wonderful day...we finally got rain!!!! While the rest of the US is experiencing floods and tornados, Central Texas is going through the worst drought on record...what a crazy world we are living in!!! Hopefully, the rain will help grow a little grass in our pasture for the horses and donkeys...they are getting a little tired of hay and grain!!! The little chicks are growing so fast....I hope to get some pictures this weekend!! (For a city girl, I'm sounding pretty country...LOL!!) Anyway....
I made this card last night using the Mojo Monday #190 challenge sketch and the Color Throwdown #141 colors: So Saffron, Rose Red, and Aqua.
I used the beautiful Friend of Mine set from the Craft's Meow....the sentiment and butterfly were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black onto the Stella Rose dp by My Minds Eye...the butterfly was cutout and mounted onto the corrugated butterfly...copper wire was use for the antennas. Lace, twine, seam binding, button, pearls, and a little sewing were added for a shabby, vintage look.

This is also for a few other challenges:
1. Fab n Funky - buttons and bows
2. Stars and Stamps - things with wings
3. Ribbon Carousel - Shabby Chic-ness

Thanks for dropping by today...I hope you have a great Thursday!!

We got rain as well, but I sure thought we got more than the .25" they say :) then the thunder and lightening, drove Lucky crazy, poor thing. Love your card, what great colors and paper. The butterfly and ribbon are so pretty.

Oh, this is simply BEAUTIFUL!!! Lovely colors and everything about it is so pretty!
Glad you guys got rain up there! WE DID TOO!! I live about an hour and a half southwest of San Antonio and we hadn't had rain since like November of last year!!! So dry and it's been horrible! But, we got two inches last night and yes, I was doing the happy dance too! Thankfully we got no hail - just alot of wind.
I also became a follower of your blog....so many wonderful creations.
