Music for the Soul

Hello everyone!! We had another super hot day today and no rain!! It started clouding up Wednesday night with lots of wind...it rained south of us but we didn't get a drop....dang!!! It is supposed to get cooler next week but I'm not holding my breath!!  Anyway....
I did a little stamping last night during Project Runway....why is it that I like the clothes the judges don't like....I guess I don't have any fashion sense...LOL!!!
Basic Grey Kioshi papers and Prism Intense Amethyst cardstock were used along with Rubbernecker's Music sentiment #582-05 . Sewing was done around the edges, the background was dry embossed for a little texture,  and the wood butterfly, ribbon, flowers, seam binding, and doily finish it off.

This is for a few challenges:
1. Case Study Challenge - show us your signature style
2. Shopping Our Stash -  red, ribbon, or roses
3. Tuesday Throwdown - dimension and texture
4. Hooked on Crafts Challenge - things with wings

Thanks for stopping by...have a great day!!!

I am with you, I prefer the clothes the judges don't like as well, I think it is we think like normal folk, where the judges are way outside of the box :) Love your card, with that beautiful butterfly and the sentimement with the music, gorgeous stuff. Have a great weekend, I too am hoping they are right it will be in the upper 90's better than 105+.

Ha, Ha! You like the clothes that the judges don't like because you are a REAL person!!! I always love a purple and green card you know, and this one is no exception. I love how you've used the butterfly. I hope it rains and cools off for you...

Another gorgeous creation, Joan, you used the prettiest colours together on this, just lovely.

Just saw your comment on my cleaned up copics.....I'd come and clean yours for you any time, it was very therapeutic. But then I couldn't let you use them afterwards, I can't have you dirtying them up again LOL.

Hope it does cool down for you, I don't know how you manage in that heat. Over here it is a bit cooler today, much cooler than where you are. CoB

Absolutely gorgeous Joan, love the ribbon treatment especially! You probably disagree with the judges because you DO have fashion sense!
