Fabric Flowers

Happy Saturday....I hope you got to sleep in and someone fixed you breakfast in bed...OK OK...a girl can dream once in a while!!! It's too cold here to do anything but eat, sleep, stamp, and just a bit of sewing....I used Blossom shaped Nesties to cut out the fabric flowers and hand sewing was done around the edges. I gathered the layers a bit when they were sewn together to get the ruffled effect. I didn't have the righ colored fabric for the leaves so I used cork and then cork was used for the *button*. Twine and some wacky sewing around the edges finish it off.
Recipe:
Paper: Pure Luxury Ivory
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories: Cork, Floss, Twine, Sewing Machine, Fabric
This is also for a few challenges:
1. Stampin for the Weekend - warm it up - I used warm colors
2. Paper Cutz Challenge - your choice
3. Little Red Wagon - one layer wonder
4. Wild Orchid Challenge - use a sentiment
5. Crafts 4 Eternity - recipe: string, flower, button
Thanks for dropping by...have a great day!!!

Love this Joan! The fabric, size of pattern flowers and the colour of the thread you used for the blanket stitch edges, the cork...you are a genius!
Pretty darn cold here too. We had a hard freeze last night.

Nesties can cut fabric?? Get me my Cuttlebug quick! Wow, I shall have to try that one, Joan, thanks for the idea. Love how you can make a stunner of a card from a simple idea, that flower deserves it's centre-stage position. Oh and thanks for your lovely comment on my blog today, always nice to see your smiley face in my comments list. Keep warm, craft extra fast, lol. CoB

chilly....chilly???? Well...we are postitively POLAR here....sub zero and that is not counting windchill........so yep...staying inside so I won't get frostbite out there....poor little Pepper has to go 'pee' outside....yikes!!!

Anyhoooooooooooo....I LOVE your fabric bloom.....I bought a book to learn how to do some special Japanese folded flowers, but somehow I have not made the time to play with it yet...maybe if you keep enticing me with these I will finally get a move on....

hugs and stay warm
